Question What do you enjoy the most when you´re reading a novel?

I enjoy the most when the mc is plain evil and just makes everyone be his little bit*ch .
The mc being in a max badass mode i guess

When you're starting to understand what the MC has been doing so that the battlefields can be advantageous for him. Basically, "everything is according to keikaku".

best things are the loot examinations *or looting in general

 

To me it's quite simple, if the story and the subject matter has been written in a well done way, that's basically what I care about. Though I do prefer stories which have deeper worldbuilding over others that don't and stories which don't just portray one aspect of humanity, but multiple.
This is oftentimes somthing that's lacking, when you have interresting characters in a story they are usually of the same type (and by type I mean moral compas / priorities). Which I find a bit sad, as a more diverse cast (while I do realise that writing such a cast is much more difficult, and much more prone to the author making mistakes) is more colourful and lively, and interact with one another in a far more interresting way.

And I also pretty much demand that the author remains true to the characters, for example if a story is dragging out, you don't just make the main character do something which is thoroughly against everything he / she / or it believes in, you take things to their logical conclusion.

 

I like re-reading that face slapping moment you have in novels. Like in ISSTH~

My answer:
-cultivation scene, not meditating but about the state of cultivation. Rather than usual cultivate 10 layer(less or more) then it still the same after that (but harder), I more prefer when the state seem quite mythical like ISSTH,TMW or KOG
-the world and the journey. It depend on the story, it either about MC going from there to there with what happen in between (LMS) or the progression and change happen at the place where MC live (RTW) *not stagnant*

 

I enjoy it when a story feels real, The characters and societies make sense based on the rules of that universe. So being written well is a must.

Oddly enough, what I love the most is when action novels do slice of life chapters.

The most accurate for me would be that I particularly enjoy reading about character interaction.

 

Different novels have different things that make me interested in them, so as someone here has said, i would tick all of them if i could.

For example, i read MT for its adventure, magics and life fulfilment, chinese novel for adventure and cultivation, while konosuba for comedy.

Its depend on what readers wanted to see in the novel i guess.
