What kind of purpose it serve beside entertainment for anyone who enter?
Economically speaking, if Rimuru want to make something out of labyrinth material, why don't he just sent a team to gather valuables from dungeon and sell them somewhere else

It has uses. It lets veldadora let out his aura without affecting the outside too much. It makes him and the dumb fairy money (inns arent cheap). It lets him and friends have fun (get out of work). Hides experimental stuff in the deepest areas. Gets his servants some practice. Its a very big and deep trap.

Isn't Veldora already capable of living outside without leaking his aura? (Shown when the extra (dumb) hero doesn't even realize who actually Veldora and Ramiri is when he met them+Rimuru)

If inn aren't cheap and dungeon doesn't really give anything valuables (when exploration failed), why would adventurer want to get it?
(In my understanding, most adventurra are not rich and they do adventure to look for money. It just doesn't make sense why would the enter this dungeon with expensive inns)

How would it work as last round of defense?

Rimuru's Labyrinth serves as a "loss leader" for his monster country. By offering a relatively safe site for adventurers where they can earn progressively more profit and fame while they train and develop their skills, he generates goodwill for himself, his country, and his country's monster inhabitants. And as with the loss leader concept, the visiting adventurers will spend their money at his city which in turn encourages merchants to come to service the adventurers. More business opportunities leads to more people coming. His country becomes a hub for resources, trade, research, education, etc. with many permanent high profile non-monster residents. Eventually the monster country becomes too important for other countries to casually try to get rid of them.

I believe it was explained as an easy way to train without dying. Unless people were dumb enough to not buy the rez bracelets.

You must know first How labyrinth skill ramiris have, her Skill capable to create infinite labyrinth that unescapeable unless u can move bettwen dimesion and not many (i dont even remember anyone capable other than rimuru), other than that she can freely control inside the labyrinth so they can hole up in last floor with many food and let invader wandering in upper to mid level area without any way to enter lower area until they lost all their supply

Yes, Veldora is really capable, but his original nature was like that of the raging storm, but look at him now and he's just a handsome tsundere uncle reading mangas in the corner. A storm can't contain itself forever, and the mangas are also getting lesser and lesser, until mangakas show up in Tempest, and he really only reads those to get inspirations for his next action scene. The dungeon is profitable and also fun in this case.

Monsters will start to spawn from the thick aura of Veldora, so they can just sell those monster's body parts to make a profit. Because of this a dungeon where you're not in danger of losing your life is better than the wilderness. Those equipments are just the bonuses.
