and this is why its such a bad argument from the people complaining. there are so many loopholes to these systems you have choices on what to do.

options (thus meaning they still have the choice) ; leave, sign up, clear what tracks them, learn the original language so as to not need translations in the first place.

1 thing I would say however is that you separate NUF and WW as different types. when imo they are on the same level. you can view and access NUF just fine without an account, same as reading at WW. however to comment, bookmark, have a profile etc, you must sign up and sign in.

so it can't be said that the WW accounts don't serve a purpose. you among others just don't treat it to be as necessary or as valuable as you do NU.

people are claiming WW to be on the same level of ransomware, just because the decision has displeased them. its not a valid comparison.

sarcasm is fine but there wasn't a need to bring up nazi's specifically, still sort of a sore spot universally :s

Well, one of the recent announcements says that they'll be adding quite a bit of novels that aren't the traditional wuxia and xianxia. So there's that to look forward to.

The difference is that QI is an asshole and WuxiaWorld isn't. Did you not read that you can read 100 chapters of a completed chapter and free rotations to registered accounts that might be implemented? Signing up will only bring you benefits and the only downside is that you wasted 5 minutes making an account. What, you want to argue that those 5 minutes should've been used to jack off to porn?

Sigh, here we go with another person, does it make you feel better about your life to insult someone over the internet? You like others are missing the point here but I guess you'll never see it going by the way you act and you shouldn't be posting on the internet if you can't have a discussion without insulting someone for different opinions especially when I've yet to curse or rage in my comments I've made. Don't even know why I'm bothering to comment when I know people like you will never say this stuff in real life since you'll get educated by other people :cookie::cookie::cookie:, nice way to ignore my comment about reading QI novels through other websites, don't want to make assumptions yet I'm willing to be you don't go to WebNovel to read the novels.... Good day today since I get to add another to my ignore list haha :aww::aww::aww:
There is no difference since you're not reading it on the platform that has rights to the novel. I didn't see the post about benefits and such since I don't use WW everyday like other people since I have an job and I can't sit at home and read all day like other people, disgusting to mention masturbation but if it takes you 5 minutes then ok quick shot haha, ignored.

    ah yes,

because when you can't win an argument the only valid choice is to stick your head in the sand and pretend the world no longer turns (cue flatworld supporters raiding this thread?? xD ).

it makes a request after informing you of the site policy, you have the option to register, or sign up, or to just leave. that's 3 choices right there.

and after mentioning they will block anyone who disagrees with them, you can bet your stars they still click on our comment boxes to see what was said.

so they will continue to be just as "offended" as ever and it will have only wasted yet more of their seconds.

Never said I don't have an account there so ya know, just said I don't like being forced. Would say people can't read but maybe I didn't make myself clear but oh well, and it wasn't even my screenshot it was someone else's from ATG LCD thread. Grandmother always said don't assume since you tend to make an ass out of yourself :cookie::cookie::cookie::aww::aww::aww:

While @LordCorwin's comment may have been aggressive, it's not fundamentally incorrect. The pop-up was polite, well-worded, and altogether inoffensive. It's not coercive in any way. I've also noticed that you haven't actually responded to anyone's comments, only commented on their behavior and claimed that you'd block people. No offense intended, but that seems a little unreasonable. And in case you wanted to know, yes, I am one of those heathens who actually reads on Webnovel.
Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks, after all.

for anyone who didn't want to click on the image

correct me if I'm wrong but they aren't making you read the novels they translate? you did choose to read them, correct? if you don't want to read them, don't. if you don't want to register on-site, don't.
they are not coercing you into reading their content, that is a choice you made. all they ask is that you sign up to leech more than 50 releases. it really isn't that big of a deal and seems mostly intended as some kind of measure against bots ripping content from them illegally.
hell on Mangadex you can't even use the search function if you aren't logged in.

and please don't think me some kinda fanboy or something, check my reading list, I haven't read a single novel on WW. (though overgeared was in my "to be determined" list and I had no idea that was on WW till I read another comment on this thread~) (not a huge fan of Chinese novels in general), I'm just a lonely unicorn on the internet posting his opinion.

no offence but with you liking ED, i do think that'll be a bit of a stretch. I made it no secret in the past that I found ED to be the biggest pile or repetitive crap to ever be called a story xD and i followed it quite far into the story(imo) before deciding to bail. it was like watching a washing machine on rinse and repeat. each arc was just a "1+" version of the previous one in a different setting with the MC still somehow being perfectly prepared ahead of time no matter what issues cropped up. and i swear he unjustly destroys many great weapons in doing so.

I can't possibly like an MC who breaks all his toys after the first playdate >.< I predate WW like many others here, and my main reason for being on WW was all the IET novels. I was an addict, those are the sort of stuff I look for and seems to be what WW gathers the most of. I also dropped off of ATG at some point, though I plan to get back to it eventually so its 1 less unfinished title in my collection.

Guys people who are complaining are just in a minority. There are many readers who support the official translation so don't lose your hope in humanity yet.

Can we all just agree that implementing the pop-up without any other notable changes was bad execution on WWs side and that it is a bother for people who dont want to sign up?
A bother. Not a problem and certainly no reason to waste time looking for pirates , but a small annoyance nonetheless.
After all, there are valid reasons why people might not want to sign-up/have to be logged in.
We are going in circles here and I have had enough drama by now

Not unreasonable to me when they can't have a proper discussion without resorting to cursing and other unnecessary things.
While the pop up is nicely worded and all its like the ad block pop up that won't allow you to read the post without disabling it and such, Now I didn't see the post about signing up has its benefits and such since like I said I rarely visit WW to read since I'm busy with work and most novels I read are on WebNovel, I thought WW just was forcing you to signup to read like those websites that have that annoying popup saying disable adblock.

First of all i love ED because to me Li Qiye is just the coolest mc ever specially when he says those chunnibyu/domineering lines and yes i didn't got bored after reading those sh*t over & over again . As for IET novels i also read them but it just hard for me to immerse into those kinds of novels, i only finished reading CD as for the rest i always gave up halfway for some unknown reasons :hmm: .

You're not alone, Haven't read ED since chapter 1700 since I've been waiting to binge a lot.
Only IET novel I've finished is CD his other novels bore me just like how Er Gen' s novels makes me question if my sense of humor is busted since I don't find his novels funny at all.

guess that puts my posts under "other unnecessary things". LOL

    ST, DE, LXY and CD.

I did not like SS as much personally, too much scifi that then turned less scifi as it went weird and sorta cliffed at the end. for chuuni and equivalents I seek out stories that are deliberately having a laugh while ED tried to be serious and just couldn't.

    Disagree. https://www.wuxiaworld.com/announcement/wuxiaworld-ad-changes-future-reading-model

The 50 chapter limit was announced under the Free for Everyone section and the comments below regarding the changes seem to be overall positive. I'm fairly certain that if it were unpopular, the changes wouldn't have gone through.

In addition, I read this thread twice and no one's actually given a good reason why they refuse to sign up...it's mostly just pride...
