I bought Systran software but it still comes out somewhat incomprehensible..I have google translate on phone but thats sh**ty..What do you think works the best? So annoyed! I'm learning Chinese but that could take years haha to be fluent lol..I praise the translators but I always seem to pick one up that gets dropped! Sooo sad
Google is actually the best because of ML and millions of billions bits of data it collected over the years. An MTL that could perfectly translate any languages will be available in several years. Don't worry. Btw, why is this in spoiler? People rarely come here.
It's Machine Translator. They never work best, but they are adequate. You just have to learn how to read Machine Language. It's way faster than having the Machine learn your language.
...... Why don't you use the the second language that you know? More perfect your language it will be harder if you use MTL.... I'm indonesian but using English for MTL.... Of course there are some disadvantage, like f*cked up grammar... In long term...
I think google translate is a good MTL program mainly because I actually finished two c-novels with more than 1K-2K chapters using this. It was a pleasing experience since I understood most of the plot. I noticed that when I was mtling your brain -or my brain- adapted to the somewhat comprehensible translation along the way to the point that I find it disconcerting reading proper English when I returned to the english-translated chapters. Anothing thing was that the readability of the novel boils down to the author's style of writing or the number of chapters of the novel because regarding the latter, c-novels with thousands of chapters but shorter chapter length tend to be easier to read than those with only a hundred -or below- chapters but longer chapter length. An example of this is Hidden Marriage VS You're Beautiful When You Smile; the former was a breeze while the latter was a struggle to finish -it also has lots of game terminologies-. Anyway, google translate is not so bad it's just that there are other factors that can hinder its translation but despite this, it does pull through -most of the time-
There's no best tho, there's no accurate one. So you have to make do with Google translate and systranet. And don't forget to add bing translate as well.
If you're looking for something that translates in a way that is easily comprehensible all the time, then sadly it does not exist. Languages are more complex than our current algorithms can translate accurately. Any translation program is going to get a bunch of things wrong, and you'll have to figure out what the original text was trying to say. Sometimes it can be deduced by what it gives you, and other times it will be complete nonsense. Machine translating is typically supported by some knowledge of the original language, and edited using that knowledge. Without that knowledge you will have to live with not having everything translated understandably.
You bought it? May I cry for you now? Google translate in most cases are better than systran. That's why people check my translation with google translate and then complain how google translate translated the word for 'first love' into 'first heartbreak'.
I tried using baidu translate? Its good Better than google translate after using it and translating 4 chinese novel over all i understood 90% of each novel i read. Just for me ah. If your comfortable enough to read and understand and it means its effective enough for you. Practice makes perfect. ^_^
