.are a fun light reading. l like the reactions, Like in death march, most of all when an op mc explores the world, not destroys it or plows through it.

You might like Malazan Book of the Fallen. There's tons of OP people. There's also tons of weak people. And they both can easily kill each other if one is cunning and acts intelligently. No one is safe.

Ok. Good for you. I own the physical copies of them too, but I didn't want to also have to buy the ebooks, so I know some places.

Personally, I grew up comic book heroes. As I got older, I wanted something more mature and xinina novels seem to fill that need.

There is nothing better than a fight between two super powersul beings that breaks reality in my book.
I also like how OP are able to look at the world and only worry about petty things like not being able to be in multiple locations at once (like in Death March) or wonder the next time I would be able to kill someone for looking down on me (PMG).

I agree with most of what was said, and part of it for me is the finality of it all. The MC is already the strongest, so we don't have to deal with all the training etc that she/he has to take.
Not that this stops authors from introducing stronger and stronger foes, and other problems *sigh*.

For me, the OP MCs are fun when the story doesn't focus "How will they make it/defeat the enemy" but more of their daily life. Death march (as heavily mentioned) is enjoyable since the story mostly focuses on the MC just wanting to travel around and master cooking mag- I mean discover a variety of foods. The action scenes seem to be there more for the comedy of him breaking all common sense. They are better for when you want to read something light or straightforward (or those like me who generally just likes more relaxed stories) as opposed to more mature and often darker stories.

Personality over everything. MC should be the charm.

    MC>Heroine>Plot>World Setting>Badass/Shitty Villains.

For me, it is because of the fact that I am powerless in reality. At least, in the fictional world I can put myself in the shoes of the MC and imagine myself OP as fuck.

Might agree, if we divide them further into different stages of OP , because not all of them are as OP as some of them. Toblar being amongst the most OP of them, but not actually having that many appearances.

Still a good read ,but it's what, 10 books or so? So prepare atleast a week of time if you really want to read in one go, probably a month atleast if you do other things.

Because all the old fictions I read long ago has weak MC or weak-to-strong MC. It' s just feels pointless when you know the MC willd definitely win/escape the fight. With an OP MC, the story become less a struggle of the weak and power growth fantasy, but it becomes more of an adventure story.

With the amount of OP MC now though, it's less of an adventure story but more of a wish fulfillment device.
