Reverend Insanity as my favourite Cultivation Novel and Classroom of the Elite as my favourite Psychological Novel and both have amazing main characters

 

The best for me:
Sansheng, Wangchuan Wu Shang

This is the very first novel I read on this site, and was the reason I looked for more novels to read

 

I haven't reached a stage where i say "this is the best" but there are few that are near my heart.
My husband with scholar syndrome.
My disciple died yet again.
Don't pick up boyfriends from trashbin (idea of novel plus mc not due to romance just for original hosts & mc)

Edit: Also Chen Yue Zhi Yao, but sadly translations stopped. I read the raws though, and it's such an amazing series.

Best is debatable, but it is a very good read, and as the very first web novel I've read, "King's Avatar" will always have a special place in my heart.

The reason I choose these novels is due to the fact that they're deviating from the norm.
Trafford's Trading Club -has a very anime cliche beginning, it's based on the "faust" idea. A Dude becomes an owner of Devil's pawn shop and tries to steal his costumers lifespan as he himself as an owner is on a death timer. It's a compilation of slice-of-life mystery stories , where the main character tries to be as objective with his "customers" as a demon can be.

To be a power in the shadows - is a comedy story about a shitlord , who gets too strong for his own good and let's his 3rd grader syndrome run wild. Funny if you don't want anything serious.

Swallowed Star- is your typical cultivation novel with the twist , it's based in a more modern times with machineguns , flamethrowes ,lasers , eventually spaceships etc.
has HunterXHunter elements to it

Throne of Magic Arcana- Medieval Magic fantasy where spell power is based on the understanding of Physics , it refers to knowledge of our reality often as the MC transfers from earth into fantasy world, it's interesting to see peoples reaction as MC hugs all of the credit for the works of Earths geniuses.
If RTW is mostly about chemistry , ToMA is about physics

Mine is "I reincarnated as a noble girl villainess but why did it turn out this way"
It's genre is shoujo/ josei but I think even male readers will like it given the amount of fight scenes and blood shed shown in the story. It's got the right amount of angst and is not like the other reincarnation stories. The MC isn't like the other MCs of the "I reincarnated as Villainess genre" who tries to avoid their fate by being kind and sweet aka doormat and makes a reverse harem for herself through her dumb antics. My darling Eliza Kaldia (MC of my fave novel) is smart, handsome???, brave and good at combat. She can become the main character of a story with a shounen or seinen genre. Too bad the WN version still hasn't updated and I don't dare to read the latest translated chapters of the LN version knowing what will happen on it......I have to muster all my courage and steel my heart before I read it...
