What is The Lock Icon on The Devil's Cage latest Chapter?

they buy the books off the publishers or have people donate books who also bought the books from a bookstore or somewhere else. So in the end someone is payign the publisher? does that mean we should start paying QI for their novels? is that stupid? I guess it is since we all hate QI. I get that they are shitty but they are a business. I am not saying I know exactly how they making money but I realize that they are business so adwalls and paywalls w/e I expect it to be what it is. a way for them to profit and pay for everything while making money.

I am just calling out leechers always wanting everything free. not trying to say 100% how CN web novels work on the finance side. Just saying do not expect shit to stay free forever. if that anger you or you disagree with me heavily w/e.

Edit: I just realize in my other post if you assume stuff about what I posted. IT sounds like I saying libraries are free. I mean you can go rent the book for free to read and return. not that no1 ever paid for the books. Nice misguided assumption there now that I think about it.

 

Just wanna point this out. WW may not be ad walled, but their ads overloads my Laptop's process, and GPU goes up to 115°C. Basically, it lags my Laptop when visiting WW, but not on others.

I prefer QI's mild yet walled ad(just 8-30s btw) than the process eater ad of WW.

 

I only able to access ads chapter on my phone, When I tried on my laptop, it kept telling me to turn off adblock when there's none. So annoying.

 

Love the features! Not to sound ungrateful asking for more, but is there a possibility to set our feed to hide ad-wall releases on mobile devices (and/or PC)? It's not that I'm against them, but most ad-wall will not unlock when using a mobile devices. On the PC, I'm fine with the ad-wall releases.

this 3sec wait timer? I just tested it on my computer and mobile thats the only thing that I get, 3 seconds waiting... soo this should be the "wall" right?

I find wuxiaworld ads more annyoing (on mobile) If I turn my javascript on, and accidentally click on a wuxiaworld tab, 5 secs later I'll be redirected to some shit.

I wouldn't say library are free, it's the city or government that has to pay for it to allow the citizen to read the materials for free. It is the same way with the current translation community, it is the donators that pays the translator to stay afloat so that leechers can read them for free.

 

No, not the 3s timer. When you read some novels on QiDian, some chapter release will have an ad video covering it, preventing you from reading the chapter unless you watch the ad video. Once you watch it, the chapter will than be able to be viewed. The problem with it, is that the unlock feature does not work on mobile browser for some odd reason, but works just fine on the pc.

For me, it's the opposite. I can't access them from my phone or tablet, so in the end, I can't read those adwalled chapters even if I wanted to.

 

They are releasing non adwall chapters on gravity so,folloe their releases.

 

Hm... Now that's weird, Chrome in android should be ok if java is enabled. But recently the ads keep getting longer.

 

Well, I'm on iOS, so everything is based on Safari.
And if you need to install a specific browser just to read Quidian, in a sense it would be a little like using a specific app to read their chapters. Getting close to the line here.

I just wait until the ads disappear for the chapters to read them. And because of that, it would be nice if NU was giving the possibility to filter locked chapters and "re-add" on the main page the ones that lost their ad wall when they do.
But knowing the work needed to do it, I will patiently wait either for @Tony, to have a lot of free time and being way too bored, to do it or than the chapters get unlocked.

Guys, seriously today i just woke up, start my browser and see this strange lock marking the newest qidian chapters and seeing all those locks when qidian posts many chaps at once, gave me a really strange, opressive feeling. I mean i know what they are for, but all those locks man. Gives me the creeps.

 

I think they mean paywall or something
