Discussion What is the worst novel you've ever had in your reading list?

Ohhh, I couldn't even begin to list them all out. Some of them are still rotting in my reading list and I've forgotten most of them, mostly becuase they din't leave much impression.
But if I have to generalize it then almost, if not all harem novels out there are almost gonna inevitably be a bad novel for me(personal reasons).
So generally I hate the repeating novels that seems like just adding a few touches of their own spice on an already existing novel then claim it as their own.
It's like removing the cover then replacing the title and then you get your inta-novel(they're pretty bad for your health if you've read them coutless of times)
This mostly happens in CN Wuxia and Isekai JP and the almost Universal Transported/Transmigrated novels.

 

Ancient Strengthening Technique i only read it due to hype from large pervy fan and i was horny. i was going in thinking it would be like anime or mc would have one main girl with a lot chasing him.
Goblin Kingdom i was in my edgey faze. the mc felt too human.
The Lazy Swordmaster i was in my lazy do nothing faze, but the mc was acting to weird and i got the feel he should have been the main villain while the side characters be the heros.

 

All japanese novels with a damm stupid/dense and weak MC, serious theres almost no point in reincarnation or transportion into another work, they hardly use knowledge they learn in their former world, they just became normal with stupid cheat that they dont use effective and most of the time turn into a disposable(hero) piece.
Then theres the novel i hated the most,

The main thing i hate about it is that every other chapter, it says that theopposite MC has to keep a low profile, then the next he shows amazing knowledge that no one should know and no one ask any questions or anything when the only person who knows is the one who did it. then it goes back to low profile and then show off over and over just so god damm stupid. Then all the enemies just plain stupid with no head and can't impact anything. all the females lacks personality and worship the MC for no good reason, And skills, just because you know about it doesn't mean you can master it in days when people spend lifetimes and are still learning.

I hate when the story/plot/mc says one thing then does the opposite, if your a loser be a loser, if your a badass be a badass, if your going to grow then grow. just dont contradict yourself

 

I'll go with Chrome Shelled Regios. Typical Japanese OP harem. According to the spoilers the main character basically becomes a side character

Too many novels where the MC is a bad guy. Overlord, Nidome no Yuusha, I Work As A Healer In Another World’s Labyrinth City...
They might get my attention for a short time, but they fail to keep my interest.

Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of the Other World was unexpectedly boring.
What Came to Mind During My Third Time in Another World Was to for Now, Get Naked was just too silly.

 

Against the gods. I really hated a part of me that stuck with the novel for a 100 chapters and thought it had potential to become better after some time. Spoiler alert it doesn't get better.

Slave Labyrinth. It was one of my first isekais, and even then it was pretty boring. It has some decent ideas, but about half of the story read like the system log of a CRPG, and the slave harem was pretty creepy in practice.
