Discussion What magic will you steal?

Imagine the standard isekai plot where you die (don't know how; don't care either) and meet a deity, and you are "luckily" granted a cheat ability / magic.

The catches are:
1. You cannot choose what kind of world you're going to.

It could either be a lax world where even death can be scoffed at (e.g. KonoSuba), a realistic-ish world where it's a pain in the ass to work with (e.g. Shield Hero, Re:Zero).​

2. The world you're going to has a magic system.

Maybe it's good (i.e. magic influences history and science, and it has its own set of rules and limits).
Maybe it's trash (i.e. everything is possible with magic; time travel, "I am god with this magic", etc. and there are "skills" for the most basic shit like "walking").
But hey, that's not up for you to choose.​

3. You do not know how normal magic / quirks are in the new world.

It's could be used in normal every day life, or it is a rare ability bestowed upon very few individuals.​

4. Anyone who can use magic / has an ability in the new world, has a maximum of 5 of them.

Same story as previous "rules"; whether having more than 1 ability is the norm is unknown. No matter which world though, nobody can have more than 5 powers.​

5. You can choose what magic / ability to want, but whether that power exists is uncertain.

Don't worry. You'll get refund in case it doesn't exist.​

6. If your choice exists, then instead of getting that ability from nowhere, you will steal the ability from someone else in the new world.

Whether it is a nobody or some legendary hero, the deity does not care. The same goes for whether you are fated to meet the victim or not.
Note however, that if you are stealing a stronger ability, then you ought to expect more danger from the world itself. After all, your power was stolen from someone.​

If you are a generic reader, then you wouldn't even bother thinking why you were chosen. In case you do though, it was just done "randomly". You are not special, just lucky.
There is no goal to your existence in the new world. You can make a harem, be a king, live a luxurious life, etc. It does not matter the deity at all, and you will never see him/her ever again.

 

By the way @SpearOfLies, I am expecting you to find a loophole contradiction within the rules.

 

The ability to grant others stolen abilities.

 

The abilty to have authority over the magic system

 

...? That pretty much means that you are thrown into a world where you can't do anything (since you don't have any stolen ability aside from granting your stolen ability) and a world where there is an ability stealer who cannot grant anyone stolen abilities anymore.

Surprise surprise; that ability doesn't exist.

 

Will conduct research to identify a protag and steal their plot armor.

3 passive intelligence increase abilities, one control increase, and extra magic capacity. I was to see if I can get magic to be turing complete.

 

There is nothing to identify, since there are over 100 possible targets from over 100 worlds.
Plot armor isn't magic / quirk / ability though, so you really need to choose "something".

I get a convenient inventory, and a pretty overpowered skill that lets me fuck around.

I'll just say space time magic. It's likely some cookie cutter Japanese protag took it already. Plus it has a wide variety of uses. Like inventory bag making. Just will need to write down how to use it in event it gets stolen again

Healing magic seems like a good choice

 

Spacetime magic is fine. @Ekfreet also took it. Making inventory bags however, is another thing. Ekfreet specified the ability of [Inventory], however what you want sounds more like "making bags that is equivalent to [Inventory]" and more.
I stated in the first sentence that you only get to have 1 ability, so you'd have to change your answer.
