I really like Magic Chef of Ice and Fire, unfortunately the releases are slow, so I would recommend holding off on that one Invincible salaryman is pretty good, but similar to The Man Picked up by the Gods, they're kind of slice of life Like Risus said, True Martial Word, The Great Ruler and Desolate Era are pretty good!

First what I prefer is smart xianxia/wuxia or western fantasy (forgot the name lol). But not the silly ones like MGA, PMG, ATG and the like (and god there's a lot of them). I like smart and good MC's and not stupid arrogant ones. Same for the enemies, I don't like when they want to kill just because MC breath the same air or because of chain-revenge(patent pending) where each foe goes at MC because he killed the previous one. I'll group the stories I liked by author as usually each author has pretty much the same qualities in their stories. Desolate Era /Coiling Dragon/Stellar Transformation/the 9 Cauldrons/Swallowed Star Unlike other Chinese authors, IET's MC's are genuine good guys without the usual overbearing arrogance of the genre (mc and foes). Great plots, world buildings and cultivation methods. Duoluo Dalu Definitely one of the best story out there with IET's True Martial World / Martial World Great world building and story. Cool cultivation methods and fights and foes not too stupid. Ze Tian Ji A very good xanxia with very few fights in the beginning but a smart MC and a lot of political plots. Characters are not especially black or white but can be a nuance of grey and that complexity is rare in xianxia nowadays where a friend is a friend and a foe is a foe point. The Great Ruler A smart xanxia story with great fights and a good setting. Tales of Demons and Gods I really like that idea of a redo, you come back in time and fix the things you regret the most and save the ones you love.
