The only tabletop game I've ever really played is called Legend of the Five Rings. I was wondering what you guys have played. For sure, there's D&D. I rolled a character for that once and got some damn good rolls but lost the character sheet. Also was supposed to play a mech making tabletop but the mechanics were incomplete so that's kinda sad. My bro plays this one called Werewolf. They use local google maps for the setting and it seems fun but I recently don't have time for something like that.
Most of them, gurps, eden studios, gamma world, some of the superhero ones, big eyes small mouth, aberrant, trinity, 2.0-3.5 dnd, exalted, all the white wolfs, yes even the wierd orpheus one, a bunch of little ones here and there. L5R i remember getting yelled at because i played a big drunk crab guy who carried a big tetsubo and rode an ox around, but secretly practiced magic origami
I was at my parent's house this Tuesday talking business, and we were done really quickly. So since I was staying for dinner, and that was over 2 hours away, we played Trivial Pursuit, and I got my ass handily handed to me.
Storyteller was pissed! His bff heterosexual life partner male 250ish who was playing a loli ninja who giggled a lot was mad because the rest of the party decided to unanimously ignore him.
Settler's of Catan. That's about it at the moment. Unless you include card games, then I play the Ascension Deck Building game amongst many others. I'd like to learn how to play D&D and other similar RP table top games.
Chess, Lords of Waterdeep, Dominion, Jenga, Chinese Chess, Stratego, Laser Battle, Battle ball, yugioh, Seven Wonders, Saboteur, Frag, Talisman, Munchkin and hundreds of others. I only have a few bookshelves of games. Some friends of mine have garages full of them. Very fun PS: D&D means Dungeons and Dragons, right? I've seen a few movies based on it and it never seemed very fun.
Most of the time I am the game master for DND 4e, DND Next, Pathfinder, and shadowrun. I been a player for gurps and world of darkness. Board games I enjoyed(includes deck building games) are the following: Code Names, Monster, Munchkin, Lords of waterdeep, Legendary, Betrayal at the house, Splendor, sushi go, blood-borne card game, Above and Below, Roll for the galaxy, and many more. I enjoy most board games unless it requires me to bluff...I'm bad at bluffing unless I am the game master then everyone is going to have either a really good time or someone is dying tonight.
D&D is amazing, so long as you have an imagination and someone DMing with good storytelling and multitasking capablities. Best game ever, but requires a bit of work to play (and for the best campaigns, lots and lots of accessories). With respect to the original topic, I just happened to finish the first game in our second go-around at Pandemic-Legacy tonight. Another amazing game I highly recommend. I also regularly play various other Pandemic iterations: Iberia, Cthulu, On the Brink. Legacy is the best, though (Cthulu the best themed). Other games: Takenoko, Dixit, Catan, Cosmic Encounter, Cards against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, Jaipur, Love Letter, Mage Knight. I've got a bookshelf full - a good chunk of the top 25 on Boardgamegeek. If you aren't familiar with it, I highly recommend the Web show Tabletop with Wil Wheaton. Lots of good games and entertaining.
