You are supposed to make connections with the sons of CEOs or your alumni who are great people or your teachers who can employ you. Life is very transactional but sadly people don't know that until it's too late
I agree and if it is connection then I am well known with my peers and have a neutral or good impression with like 90% of them it just clicked with me that college is like trying to give you a push to get in amateur level employee
Popularity is not the same as making connections. I am saying find yourself a sponsor. It is dumb to look for a job after you graduate. Get a job now or at least be in good graces of a couple of places that will get you a job now
