ML's that are really arrogant and think that they're the best. Confidence is good, but yall too damn creepy. If he pushes you or grabs your hand then steals a kiss from you that's creepy as fuck and makes me disgusted. Unless he waits a bit and gets that "kiss me already" look from the FL then he would do it. It's a bad ML if he just assumes your feelings then acts off those assumptions.

As long as ML we are talking about isn’t from BL novel it’s already good. I prefer omniscient type. Not op by sheer force but in terms of brain

 

I've always liked the ML that pays close attention and does the little cute stuff for the FL that made me go aww he actually cares. Ie. FL looks depressed and comes back home late so the ML goes to the kitchen and cooks some BBQ ribs to cheer up the FL at 3:00am.

 

Harem (though i don't read it ) , cold & indifferent without any character development or any character at all , rapey ,S type ,domineering, named as high iq but ir without any brains ,op type, does "intimate" stuff without permission ,yandre ,control freak , self righteous type,immature type .

People are saying abusive, but I'll go even further and just say mean MLs. Some of these you read and it's like, where's the romance exactly? All I see is a guy insulting a girl for breathing his air and being ugly in public, while the girl just kinda rolls with it. Causes me physical pain when we have two male leads and the MC's exact thoughts are "ML1 is so scary and mean...he always has something cruel to say...I feel like I'm suffocating when he's in the same room" and "ML2 is so charming and kind! We have such good chemistry and I can tell he respects my opinion! It's like I've known him forever, I'm so comfortable around him " We all know who wins.

Also I hate hate HATE smug, condescending MLs, ones that are constantly laughing at MC, ones with a constant smirk, ones who refer to ML as "their toy." There was some villainess manga where the twist was MC is a boxing champ that I liked a lot, but the ML was so obnoxiously smug, I had to drop it.

Weirdly OP ML that has no actual personality. They can be described easily with the words Rich, handsome, and domineering.

 

For me, I don't like the kind of ML that revolves entirely around the protag. You know the ones, the MLs whose personalities always go back to the MC in some capacity without any standalone traits to make them engaging as a character.

-doesn't communicate with the FL and leads to senseless misunderstanding!!!
-brainless harem sht (altho I think there are harems with good plot)
-'the world revolves around me' ML
-treats other female characters like trash or degrades them (without provocation)
-at first meeting, his impression of the FL is: "Interesting..." (idk for others but once this word pops out, it's like a red flag for me and I'll slam the book down) this first impression has been so freaking overused

Now, for the ML I love:
-considers FL's wellbeing in their decision making
-Huo Xiang of The Random Passerby I Married (haven't finished the MTL for this but I really like the character of ML)
-ML who has a 3d personality and not just written to recognize how good/OP the FL is
-acknowledges other women with respect
