I used to like all types of novels but now that i look back at them i realize they were trash. I just want to know what the hell was so interesting to me about those novels and what i was thinking. But what r u guys reading and why do u like it?
I'm an all rounder, except for particular novels that are not to my tastes, which I shall not divulge to you or any others.
i love it when the mc is slowly becoming evil, like he begin good but as he try to achieve a goal (which is good) he slowly have to do dirtier things in order to succeed! i also love when the mc is just chill

I am more interested in comedy+cultivation rn since there won't be any arrogant young master. Even if there are, it would be the funny kind of young master. Also because there won't be any murder because of one sentence... I wanna look for some slice of life kind of cultivation novel as well, like cultivation chat group
Oh i used like that type too but im not rly intrested in that rn myself, i used to but i read too much so.. you know kinda got boring... but ill probably start getting into it again in the future
I like novels with characters that are fleshed out, have a mind of their own and won't be saved by "luck" (plot armour). I do avoid novel with beta mc, harem - don't mind it when they have substantial-quality just not when they don't have a brain and any novel that are basically authors' wish fulfilment.
So I'm currently reading this: Akuyaku Reijou ni Nanka Narimasen. Watashi wa『Futsuu』no Koushaku Reijou desu! And I hate it. I started reading it just for shits and giggles, then I realized I hate it when I caught up with the translated chapters. Translator-san is really good but the novel itself is trash and I don't know why I'm still reading it. It's like how powerpuff girls are made, sweets, spice, and everything nice except it's only everything nice. It's bad, it's horrible, there's no plot, and it's shit at being slice of life. I really don't want to continue reading it. I don't particularly like any novel I'm reading right now so I quickly lost interest in them. Maybe I'll stop reading for a while.

I like shoujo because... Well, it's just my taste? Really, I like what I like, that's all there is to it. If anything, I can say I like the drama, and shoujo is full of it~
Basically me from a year ago and still like that after knowing that you wasted your time reading someone else fantasy you end up being disgusted and feel like you read trash from a trash author
I like alot of different things, and will read different flavors here and there, but the genre I come back to the most is comedy So I would say it probably counts as my favorite. The reason? I don't really know. It's probably like what AliceShiki said, I just like it.
