The first thing I learned was omelet. I literally made an omelet at 3am everyday for 3 months, causing me to get a bad stomach on new year's eve of that year. That day was a nightmare.... nowadays i can't even look at an omelet anymore, it literally gives me ptsd. anyways do know how to cook? What was the first food you learned?

I didn’t really have a first dish because I helped my mum around the kitchen quiet a bit, but the first ‘dish’ I did on my own and learned from my own experience is making a cake. Desserts were the things I mostly did on my own.

Cooking... what's that? I didn't succeed at anything until I learn to make raw dishes and salads. Even then I think I ended up burning myself several times. I still wonder how I managed it.

Onions, chili peppers, a shot of Jack Daniels will do that.

Rice. It's a staple food here in my country, so it's the first food that children learned to cook.

    . . . D-does toast count?
If not, then ummm porridge oats?

Technically i also made pineapple upside down cake as well as pizza at school many years ago. But i couldn't make either of them now without having to look up the recipes and steps.

I can fry eggs and cook rice etc. But it can be a hit or miss most times. I do cook my own food, but whether others would consider it acceptable or not is another matter entirely.:bloborz::blobnobully:

Though its form has changed, i think the first solo dish i would have made would a breakfast sandwich. Fried eggs, slice of turkey ham, and cheese slices between two pieces of toast. Its current iteration has thin sliced pork cutlets instead of turkey ham, but its still a tasty meal.
    .......
Now if you'll excuse me, i think I'll now go and make a couple for dinner.
