What would you buy first if you won a billion US dollars?

If this is after taxes then I would buy nothing and just retire.

 

start hedgefund, poach people from renaissance. double the fund in two years.
buy an impoverished third world country. crown myself ruler for life.

 

First i would get the billion dollars in ones and swim in them, then change the ones to quarters to put in those cool gumball machines, then change the leftover quarters to pennies so i have plenty to throw at people (not assault as you are technicaly gifting them high speed money delivered right to their dumb faces)

 

House and gold, I guess.

 

Probably would start with setting a spending limit of 10mil per year so that it would last my entire life, unless the economy collapses.
Can't really think of much I would spend on though other than things like computers, games, books and movies.
Although for some strange reason I kinda would like to have an apartment complex all to myself, would be a bit like owning a castle. lol
