    You need spirit stones to unlock the chapters, you can get ten or so spirit stones by daily check, hundred by invite other, or you can buy it

    It's a pseudo paywall which people gradually come to accept because they are giving free spirit stones, but ya still a paywall.

    Yep. It's been more than a year already.

    There's a paywall. You can't access chapters without paying. That's what locked means.
    Some novels allow you to pay by watching an ad but a lot more novels have been locked down by requiring spirit stones.

    The adwall was around a year ago , as well as the first mass released that were locked behind spiritstones
    the mass chapter locks behind paywalls started around 1-3 months ago
