Discussion What's the ideal temperament of an MC

Have you read Heavenly Jeweled Master? Cause the Mc has a pervert mind and is sort of rogue added on top of an honest face, so you can never tell he is a rogue. Tho he isn't overly arrogant.

 

Then there is Long Haochen from Shen Yin Wang Zuo. Kid is a saint. Kind and coldly vicious when necessary. No one stays his enemy for long. Expect for the demon's he is duty bound to kill.

I don't really like Lin Feng. He kills too much first of all. I wouldn't mind that so much, but instead of just going around killing people openly to show off and making enemies, why can't he be patient and kill them quietly in a way that no one knows its him? The only reason he's still alive even with so many enemies is because of he somehow manages to get someone with better background and/or strength than the enemy to support him, aka plot armor.

I admit, all MC's get lucky, stay alive and find treasure due to plot armor. But Lin Feng's plot armor is just too ridiculous.

 

Yeah I already read it. It's a story where the young man(MC) became a (young)MAN if u know what I mean :3

 

ideal isn't perfect mc but what kind of character do you want you mc to start off with that will make the story more enjoyable.

 

Their life is training though, that is what they have grown to enjoy the most. Also they somehow manage to make the most relaxing things, appreciating lotuses for example, into a training experience.

Scrolled through 3 pages and i don't find anyone mention Shiroe from Log Horizon.
I guess i'm the only one who like his attitude.
He's calm, a tactician, bit dense about akatsuki and minori, and know how to exploit in-game knowledge through the contact by his scribe sub-class.

 

i think i like shi hao from PW,he's the embodiment of an MC that kind of acts like his age,unlike most xianxia MC,

i especially like zhou weiqing from HJC-he be like very good man in to impress someone but very rogue on the inside,but not heartless, funny rogue...

 

Well he has his flaws too.Also matter of taste if guess.
At same time i sometime enjoy Li Xuan's character.And that guy is the ultimate douchebag-scumbag.

*ahem* Ideal temperament for an MC would be someone intelligent and adaptable. These qualities could never go wrong. I mean, lets say we put one MC of one novel in another novel, they may end up messing real bad.

If we took some of the more crazier and bloodthirsty xianxia MC's and put them in a VRMMORPG novel like Ark or LMS for instance, they'd definitely get pissed of by the higher level guild players. Then they'd most likely find the player in real life and begin a slaughter over a game IRL.
