0 no matter where you write it can fill pretty much all the space.

It's better than it used to be but it still isn't at the level where it should be used as a source for and academic discussion since anyone can edit the content of the page even if the "information" provided is worthless.

What does "conceptual number" even mean? How is Rayo's number not named?

Professors on StackExchange link people to Wikipedia, so I am willing to trust Wikipedia.

Conceptual numbers are numbers that has been found using a formula that are so large they can't be written or numbers that don't actually exist.
As for Rayo's number, I don't consider it a named number because it is only seen as a formula and one that has a variable at that. It would be like saying 3x is a number as is without defining x.

I'm sorry to say, but this is merely recycled bovine waste, otherwise known as bullshit.

A googolplex is already too large to write down all its digits, so hyperoperations are needed to construct a googolplex. If Rayo's number is conceptual, then so isa googolplex.

Rayo's number is unambiguously mathematically defined.

You know what. I'm not going to argue with someone that didn't even bother to look at the link that they provided. It isn't worth the annoyance. All I will say is that Ray's number is classified as a function since it has a variable so it is NOT a fixed number.

Hmm...once we start creating names for numbers we can't actually represent, we are able to create increasingly recursive definitions, such as, "the number of Planck time units within a Rayo's number of Neptunian years as measured on 2017/12/26" which could then be its own named unit, which I will henceforth call a Nuffie.

What does "number" mean here? Generally, when we talk about numbers, we usually refer to either the set of natural numbers, the set of integers, or the set of real numbers. The set of natural numbers is a subset of the set of integers, which is inturn a subset of the set of real numbers. The set of natural numbers is infinite, and so is the set of integers, and the set of real numbers. None of those sets have a largest element.

Rayo's function is different from Rayo's number.
    Rayo's number is Rayo(googolplex).
    Regarding your link:
    1. My browser isn't letting me open it.
    2. If you read my post, I already explained that Rayo's number is Rayo(googolplex).
    3. What you're saying about Rayo's number is wrong, so I don't put much stock in your sources on it.
The trick is creating a faster growing function than Rayo's function without invoking Rayo's function.

I attempted to do this (using a meta recursive hierarchy that bundled recursive hierarchies upon themselves, (and the results of that bundling upon itself, etc)), but my set theory isn't that strong, so I don't comprehend the growth rate of Rayo's number, and wouldn't know whether or not I had succeeded.

Anyway, there's no fastest growing function, due to the ability to recurse functions on themselves (your definition isn't recursive).

    Number means number, any number.

If the person in question doesn't specify, always assume the more generalized option.

    Largest number? 1/0
Yup, its infinity, just written in a different way.
If only numbers that mean something, I would go with a number of particles in the universe. Virtual and energy carriers included.
Or a number of possible configurations of said particles in the entire timeline.
