What are some of your favorite weird Food or food combinations. Things that most people would stop and look at you, thinking "What the heck?". Personally; Pop (Pepsi, Coke, Rootbeer) in Milk: One I've drank since childhood. don't knock it till you try it! Baby carrots soaked in Lemon juice: You just let them soak in a baggy for a night and they get soft and Sweet and Tangy flavor. just don't eat a lot of them at once, or you're teeth will hurt. Bonus, the Lemon juice absorbs a bit of the carrot flavor, and is good for cooking. Tiny bit of Chocolate Syrup in Cherry juice: Adds some Bitter Sweetness to the normally overly Sour cherry juice. Apple Spice Tea in Roast Beef and Beef Ramen: This is one I discovered by Accident. By replacing a bit of the Water you would use for Roast Beef or Beef Ramen (and other Beef dishes) with Apple Spice Tea, you can give the entire dish a very nice, deeper more savory flavor with a bit of added sweetness. I found out later, that adding cut apples to a roast beef is actually a pretty common practice in certain parts of the world. Though I prefer the Tea. Bwahahahaha!
White cheddar popcorn dipped in hidden valley ranch dressing. Super tasty. And tortellini with ketchup.
Cheese pizza and ranch: Well, I suppose it’s not that uncommon. I once tried it in middle school and ever since, it’s been like magic to me. I still eat it Blueberry bagels with soup: it’s a sweet and savory mix. You could toast the bagel or just warm it. I love it! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. A cream cheese & jelly sandwich: Not necessarily my favorite but I once tried a piece of my friend’s sandwich because I was hungry. Tbh, it was actually good. That’s all I can think of right now. I’ll come back and add more when it comes to mind
Chocolate chips melted on a tortilla Maple syrup on toast (I actually picked this up from my first host family in Japan) Jelly sandwich (I ate this until I was fourteen and finally accepted peanut butter in my sandwiches) Maple syrup on Triscuits (I lived on these and Swedish Fish for months when I was having gall bladder problems) The soda in milk idea sounds interesting. I’ll try to remember to try it tomorrow.
This is quite common in this part of the world. Usually it's plain soda + condensed milk + syrup because regular soda ends up too sweet.
There are a few~ Poi PB&J sandwich dunk in hot chocolate like you would for a biscotti. Sardines or tuna and rice
not me but my brothers have a rather eclectic taste for things the least weird one being my older brother who likes bologna and peanut butter my younger brother, on the other hand, will A.) eat anything with ranch on it, pizza with ranch, broccoli with ranch, ranch on donuts, ranch straight from the bottle. and B.) dip his green beans in tea. I abhor this abomination of tea and green beans.
My sister used to toast a waffle and then put a cheese slice on it and then microwave it. Always struck me as weird. My pallet is very basic so I don't think I do anything "weird". Not really weird in the sense that it's an odd combination but I guess it can be considered weird. Microwave chicken nugget sandwich. It's basically a fast food chicken sandwich. You can mix some ketchup, mustard, and mayo together for some sauce and add some onion or a leaf of lettuce if you're feeling fancy.
Make some oatmeal and then put a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter in and let it melt in the freshly hot oatmeal. Then mix and serve. Amazing with a glass of cold milk.
Don’t know if you guys ever tried it before or if it’s considered ‘weird’ but I love tea leaf salad although I can’t sleep at night after eating it.
The coke with milk was actually pretty common in my country. They usually sell those in school cafetaria
