Discussion When cultivators in novels bleed out of their orifices

Recently when I was reading through a cultivation novel a character proceeded to "bleed out of all their orifices" from anger and injuries. Which made me randomly think that does these orifices include their butts?
Bleeding from one's butt is a common symptom of haemorrhoids. Thus does that mean all cultivators have haemorrhoids? That would explain many things such as why cultivators in all those generic novels always get angry so easily. The intense pain would explain why they're so easily irritable. Furthermore, when they get too worked up they cough up blood and bleed out again.So its an endless and tragic cycle of blood loss

 

It should also include the penis and that would probably be a more reasonable cause of bad temperament.

 

Pretty sure they just mean the 7 orifices on the head. I mean, if it includes the butt, then... how about the, um...

Like do girls just get periods when they get really angry? Or do guys suddenly have testicular cancer? I dunno about that one...

 

Umm, what? I've heard characters spitting blood or fainting from anger but that author you're referring to has obviously crossed that line. Wtf.

No its the eyes nose ears and mouth. There are 7. Thats what they're talking about. You see people with this who are subjected to high levels of force the soft tissues bleed. (Like shockwave of explosion or violent crash)

Just because bleeding from the anus is a common symptom of hemorrhoids doesn't automatically mean that is the reason. Just like a cough doesn't automatically mean that the person has a cold. Actually off topic real quick is anyone else annoyed how people in cartoons always sneeze to signify that they have a cold. Like it's not 100% of the time, they can sneeze for other reasons too, but if they have a cold they're probably going to sneeze. What is the deal with this, sneezing has nothing to do with having a cold, fuck most of the time you've got a cold your nose will be gunked up anyway so sneezing is the last thing you'll be able to do. I don't think I've ever sneezed when I had a cold, coughed yes, hucked up a loogey hell yes, but sneezed not once, not ever.

it was used commonly in china as there were many poisons that would cause you to bleed from the 7 orifices of the head and then wuxia made it popular cus almost every poison would all do this and you'd die.
