which anime genre do you guys hate the most?
I don’t like watching drama because I watch anime to distract myself from the drama in life.
Gosh, wheres the harem tag?
Then the Hentai tag, because it involves itself too much in a person's privacy and it influences your brain with too much with perversive thoughts.
there's no harem??
hate harem the most...even for BL, i hate harem BL
harem, reserve harem, ecchi
imo, it's better if they make it hentai or 3P rather than harem...
i find it ridiculous to have the male protag surrounded by beautiful female and have no action when said women throw themselves at him
the more ridiculous to have female protag chased by handsome males....it makes me feel that the female protag was 'cheap' or 'easy'
Nothing new, harem deserves to burn in dumpster fire.
P.S. Where is incest? I've noticed that Japanese medium is obsessed with incest. That also belongs in the dumpster fire.
I also wanted to know where the harem tag was, that would have been my first choice.
my second choice is romance. I'm all about stories with a strong plotline and solid pacing at the moment. never been a fan of chick flicks/ bodice-ripper romances and I'm getting burnt out on romance first (of whatever flavor) and plot/ storyline a very distant second.
give me a solid story with good character growth and I don't care what genre it is, though my own preferences lean towards darker supernatural stories. I'd love to see a good ghost/ horror anime done right.
add the sports tag please
Where's the Harem tag? Harem ruins everything. 90% of the time, harem members are just extra baggage, they didn't provide anything beneficial or substantial for the lead character. The only thing they do is cheapen the integrity of the female characters and add unnecessary drama. Also, incest? This one is more of a disgust rather than the benefit that the people around the lead and them could provide to each other. Hentai on the other hand is okay most of the time since it's meant to be a porn type of genre. But there can be some weird shit going on in those hentais.
LOL I'm also one of those who hate harem. But from the choices, then it would be hentai. Because it has NTR, Incest, and those fetishes that I could not stomach.
In regards to the poll, history, sports, and mecha. Huge robots never really were my cup of piss, same goes for stuff that occured decades or centuries ago. Never really was a sports type of guy, too.
Hentai... hmm... that's too vague of a genre for me to make a narrowed judgement. This genre branches out too much for me to make a clear decision.
I also kind of not like harems, not because of the concept of a harem itself, but because it's usually executed very poorly. As of now, I think I only read around 3 or more novels where I actually liked the harem very much.
I also dislike harem, especially if it's going to have a harem ending There should only be one main couple based on my book of principles I don't read and I tend to avoid mecha
i dont like the idea of harem tbh. i can still read harem if it's suitable with the era setting, like historical manga. but harem in modern age setting is not cool. ex: hare-kon. geez, this manga is just too unbearable.
I was about to vote military, but then saw you mixed it with mecha, which I like, so...
harem and isekai
I'd have to say "psychological drama tragedy"
I'm sick of seeing the Isekai cliches tbh, when it first appeared I was like Oh this is interesting then I started realising it just a way for authors to insert a mary sue mc into a magic world etc with plot holes bigger than SAO's.
The poll could be more interesting if there were two poll items and a heat map was created on two axis. One axis would be the existing poll items of most hated genre. The other axis would take the same items but be for the most liked genre. A preliminary plot is done on a 2-axis chart to see which plotted points are grouped the closest. These items are then arranged on a 2nd chart in descending order of how many points are close. When all the points are plotted on the 2nd chart, an apparent heat effect can be inferred by looking at the divergence of tastes between hate and like. This divergence is illustrated by the amount of distance in the cloud to other nearby points. Taken separately, the data is nonsensical, but when there are a lot of points plotted, the diversity between close points represents a statistical tendency of that set of forum members.
The ones where the girls don't have boobs and they try to sell it as Romance.
