Discussion Which do you like? Cold or hot dessert after a dinner.

Molten lava cakes are also better when eaten with icecream..... Pies are the only thing that I think are good when hot but cold pies are good too.

Whatever caught my fancy at the times. I don't regularly eat desert but as long as I'm not too full I'd fancy myself getting savory snacks or perhaps ice creams. Sometimes it's just another coffee drinks.
I like to stuff myself full on dinners when i don't have works so i can sleep much better but when i do have work to do dinners would be 70% fast foods and 30% coffees.

 

I love both cold and hot desserts! I love ice cream the most but hot lava cakes and warm, freshly baked cakes are also my thing!!!

 

I usually don't eat desserts, unless you count fruit as dessert.

 

I like both~ but it depends on my mood/what's around. I tend to prefer warmer desserts in general though

Maybe it’s because my usual to-go sweets are pound cakes, cookies, etc.
If it’s ice cream, pudding or fruit, I have them just out of the fridge/freezer. Also, I got in the habit of having fruit together with my meal so I don’t treat it as “dessert” much. It also depends a bit on what you had before, like a sorbet after a heavy meal or something creamy after a spicy hotpot...

Yeah...depends on the day/weather/season/place/occasion for me.

Is warm dessert really rare? There are some really good warm desserts like oshiruko, freshly fried Apple fritters and s’mores, right? Muffins just warm after a quick rest out of the oven with coffee are a treat too!

I dunno. I have cold savory meals during summer and hot desserts on fall/winter so it’s more about matching for me. Though winter ice cream is good too. It doesn’t melt in your hand so walking around with a soft serve when it’s freezing outside is blissful too.

Vanilla ice cream with a base of still-warm cookie and then glazed by a piping hot melted chocolate is yummmy

 

I lean towards warmer but I still like cold . Something like Beignets should be kept warm they taste best like this . Ice cream is obviously cold but a lot of desserts are just eaten at room temperature. It mostly depends on which dessert you’re eating tho .

 

After a hot/warm meal It's more comfortable eating cold desserts.

A cup of hot latte or honey lemon tea would be great after dinner.

So I was reading......... Coffee with ice cream? Right, really amazing combo. Fries with Mc Sunday, ummm maybe? An acquired taste I guess, can't say I've ever tried it. Then...... pizza in fruit shakes.........uh.............um.......................what am I supposed to say? It's not like I can say it's terrible since I never tried it. Why did you even try this???
