    Your thread tag looks dangerous...
    Oof.
Do your presentation then rush back home to watch the last 10 minutes of the ceremony?
You still have another 10 years...

Go to school, no need to think too hard about it. Ask your aunt to record the ceremony if allowed, or watch it in 2030.

Go to your presentation. It would have been fine, had you warned your group beforehand, but informing them that you can't attend one day before the presentation is kinda bad.
It's tough, but since your aunt told you that it isn't important, just go to school and go home early and be there for what you can.

Definitely do the presentation. Volunteer to go first and leave early if you can. But don’t let your group down

I was the type of student that looked for any reason not to stay in class. Never regretted it cause I had high marks, but I recommend doing the presentation. Unlike the ceremony, you're needed there.

I would say it´s fine to skip class one day if it wasn´t because you have a presentation. You can go to the ceremony before or after the presentation

:blob_plusone: This. Both are important, but I'd attend the presentation because it's for the group and not just yourself.

Even though you'll miss the ceremony maybe you could ask a parent or relative to say a few words for you or represent you or even just talk about it with someone who was there afterwards? You might miss the ceremony, but it doesn't mean you can't show your love, care and/or respect in other ways. I also have a tradition in my culture where we honour the dead a while after their funeral.
