This question has been nagging me for quite a while when I was watching Shingeki no Bahamut Virgin Soul.

So, here is some background info for those who haven't watched the show.
Gods and demons have a strong enmity between them. Humans were the pawns of the Gods so they were dragged into the fight as well. Both demons and gods looked down upon humans as an ‘inferior species’. The demons killed thousands of humans mercilessly. After the events of Season 1, King Charioce becomes the king of humans. He unearthed a technique that was made forbidden by the gods which allowed humans to become much stronger than the demons and gods. He then fought and won against the demons and then the gods. He enslaved a portion of the demons. The demons were worked harshly and were treated inhumanely. (such as whipping them to death, doing brutal experiments on them, forcing them to fight each other in death matches to entertain the populace etc ). Now a very strong demon called Azazel rised in revolt (He was mostly a villain in Season 1 and had killed numerous humans). He assaninated humans who treated demons badly and is preparing a revolution to overthrow the humans and free all demons under them as well as taking revenge. So which side do you think is more justified in their actions ?

The point of any human vs. demon narrative where there isn't a very, very, plot-supported side is that there isn't a 'correct' side. Both sides could be supported depending on who you sympathize more with and whose perspective you're looking from.

None of this smells like 'justice' to me. They are just acting on their own interest, cutting down what stands on their way to the top of the foodchain. It's just how it works, honestly.

From personal experience in reading novels humans are always in the wrong and are made to look good doing evil except if the demon is a woman

I got the impression that all of the demons we saw were inherently cruel/evil (excluding one, who is arguably the exception to the rule due to her memory loss), so I don't think it's as simple as more or less justified. At the end of the day the humans are in the wrong for doing messed up things but the demons aren't exactly sympathetic. By the end I was pretty pissed off that certain demons didn't die

If Hitler won he would be celebrated as a hero but he lost. So yeah. Any war, winner will write history to paint themselves in a justified aura on moral high ground.

You choices is so limited... I could only say that whatever the race is there is always evil among the flock.
race is not the issue it's the depiction of the story. Plus, demons originally visualize as evil people as a trope but now in the present media it's changed to them becoming the good guys to be different trope or unique. But makes all JP redundant and cliche if you ask me.

In my insights if you want real evils then devils will be perfect sample cause you know cause "D"evil get it right right ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

At any level of any society, any argument could be made on who is right and who is wrong.
The rich/rulers are necessary to organize humans, and the richest/strongest protect that group from other groups. The rich/rulers are arrogant bastards who use others to benefit themselves. Both statements are true.

Rome is an interesting historical example of all this. We tend to think of them as amazing contributors to current society. Civil engineering, Laws and governance, etc etc...
But they, just like everyone else had slavery. What would you do if you conquered a neighboring country? Would you just kill everyone? Would you allow them to grow again and revolt? Would making them slaves, saving their life, be considered a kindness? Would feeding them and treating the majority well, probably better than the poor, so they can function and work hard, benefiting hundreds of thousands of other people with better lives... Sacrificing the few for the many be justifiable?
