If you wanted a serious answer, you'd have far better odds asking on goodreads or a classic books Reddit. Even then, I'd wager that not many people have read books by all 3 women. Heck, I'm an avid reader and I'm only 2 for 3.

The only thing I remember about their books is how incredibly boring they were. Reading them felt like a punishment and in Wuthering Heights like 6 of the 9 or so cast members die...for like no real reason. I know it was the 1800s but, damn.

I mean...they are all fiction novels in similar genres...they should be some of the easiest things to compare:blobsweat_2:

A lot of classic books are surprisingly bad. Not because of the language barrier. They were just bad. And saying that on any forum is tantamount to blasphemy.

I strongly disagree. Unless it's something new, exotic, or esoteric - a poll doesn't need to introduce the contenders.

You wouldn't say "Hi folks, CocaCola is a beverage made from the cola nut....and Pepsi was first registered in...."

You'd just say "Coke v Pepsi?"

Fairly old western novels on an eastern novel forum populated by many people who are from outside the US seems fairly esoteric to be.

As a Canadian I never heard of them growing up. They were never mentioned in high school English, etc. I doubt they are taught almost anywhere outside the US except maybe some university literature classes.
