Discussion Why are female cultivation novels so short? :(

Ive been reading most of the translated chapters thus far for the female xuanhuan novels here, and all the novels are about 1/2 as long as chapters of other cultivation novels.

Im not sure if its only the ones that these lovely translators picked up, but im always so sad when I reach the end of the latest updates and the chapter seems really short.

What do you guys think???

It's just coincidental

Its not like these authors are holding a meeting and all decided as a group to make their chapters shorter for their novels

 

Maybe they have less to write about?

 

The way I see it is, very few girls are as interested in the genre so they make em brief.

 

I guess they just have different standards for them. And some of those female MC cultivation novels reach upwards of 6000 chapters, while male MC cultivation novels almost never get above 2500 or so

 

yea but the chapter length is shorter but seems more often the chapter numbers are longer... like a male mc may have a 1200+ chapter story whereas a female mc is 3k or more

 

Not much to write about honestly because in most novels they play the role of a cultivating furnace

 

I have a way to fix your problem

Step 1 choose any long novel with Male MC
Step 2 edit it and rename MC name to female and females names to male
Step 3 you have new novel with female MC

I think it has to do with the lack of interest toward female lead novels. Most of the novel readers tend to be Men and we can generally only relate to our own gender and how the dick goes hard at the sight fo any attractive woman.

Anyhow, with the lack of populace for these type of novels. It will be hard for the Authors to gauge how to expand their novel and what direction. Which makes them potentially skip out on stuff or keep the story brief.

 

Males tend to inflate the size ... even if there is nothing to support the claim ...

 

allow for better topic repetition, fake and real cliffhanger and other methods of word padding

 

When I read thos Female Xuanhuan , I just feel like the girl is here just to help the male lead , not reaching the apex or thing like that..

 

I use to like them but almost all novels with female mc, why do they have to fall in love or have someone stuck to them within the first 50 chaoters, I need my female MC to be cold bloodied killers and only find maybe one person at the end of the novel

 

Yes! Someone who understands. There was this really good female mc xianxia on rrl, all fkin ruined by the male lead who somehow fell in love at first sight to mc back when they were children. Later on, he keeps pestering the mc and fkin MC heart beats everytime gdi

 

Yeah ! Exactly , they always find their love too soon , I want a female MC who don't have any love interest until the end and just follow her story , not the story of her following a man..

 

CN authors all seem to be stuck writing the same stereotypes in their novels. The "Female Leads" are interchangeable with random harem member X from novels with male leads. They try to make them different with the illusion of independence/agency but the plot never gets anywhere without some guy, who is far more interesting, holding their hands to get things done.

 

Most of them are short... though I found one that has 10k long chapters... >_>
