Discussion Why are there no Gundam games on PC?

See title. Why? Most of the gundam games on PC that I played mainly comes from mod, like Gundam Century on Starcraft or Gundam mods on Homeworld...

 

because gundams are a japanese thing, gundam games most likely exist, i can bet my life on that. But they are all japanese, unless someone kick starters it we wont see any gundam game appearing anytime soon as nobody would make a game or translate a game if they arent sure it would make them money.

 

there is no way to make a "Good" gundam game anyway......the game would need to be a KSP type for "Build your own gundam" o a Valkyria Chronicals one to be a "Strategy figthing gundams" i guess...?

also (And the most important reason) the franchise doesn't need the extra money since they are filthy rich.....so why risk it?

New Gundam Breaker

I think it will comes out next summer.

Also, there was this online game called SD Gundam online or something in the past.

 

New Gundam Breaker is gonna be on steam June 22nd

 

SD gundam online thats the one i was thinking bout wasnt sure of the name but knew that there was one and nah it wasnt on aeria

 

There is a game call New Gundam Breaker thats gonna come out soon in the US I heard that there is a pc version for this

 

It is difficult to port a console game to pc it will take a lot of resources

 

I just want a gundam game where can rip arm off and beat something to death with it

 

There is actually a Gundam games like that, Gundam breaker series. This is the best gundam game ever in my opinion. Shame there was never Online PVP mode though.
My "strap a lot of guns on gundam" built is invincible.

Honestly, the Mecha genre in games is lacking. Even then, Gundam isn't that great. While it has the storyline and notable Gundams and Mobile suits, that's all. The Gundam games I've seen have been in dynasty warrior format, RPG format, and fighter format, and all of them were pretty meh. Then again, after playing the Armored Core series, virtually all games get compared to them. I would love to see a Gundam game adopt a more Armored Core style with in-depth customization, but I won't hold my breath because Gundam isn't THAT popular in the west.

Edit: Btw, favorite mecha games are Zone of the Enders series and Armored Core series.

And why does there's no Armored Core series on PC? Even Dark Souls is on PC nowadays...

 

Armored core hasn't come out with a game that recently. Most recent game was 2013 I think? And I think the game wasn't THAT popular to warrant PC release, although it would have made customizing (and modding) so much better.

 

Would front mission evolve be a good one i remember it having nice cutomization.
