Discussion Why do boys like swords or weapons in general?

I dunno about other folk but I like just waving around a potentially lethal weapon and practice cool moves from anime and shit.

 

Also, sometimes bladed weapons are or could be seen as being symbolic of a phallus, whether intended to be or not.

I grew up with both power rangers and Barbie doll......and I like both of them

 

As a kid, the weapon i liked the most was sword. But i liked unarmed combat style more than armed combat...

Right now i like spear or staff the most

 

As a kid, i leaned more towards the robotic side since it was portrayed that futuristic weapons are cool and deadly to use. Up until i grew up, my interest switched to guns or to be more accurate, historical guns. I really like how the weapon were swords and maces to an actual LMG. But the WW1/2 guns were quite deadly if not for the mortality rate which constantly improve to lower the pain inflicted. But guns in general are interesting to look at since from the design to the mechanism to how it works, i realise the fun in how a gun works.
