I have welcomed more than hundreds of people, and I came to notice that 80 percent of them do not post at all, no activity, no posting, nothing… if their account was recently made it wouldn’t be surprising.. But those I welcomed have 2021-2015 accounts even those with 2022 accounts are rare.. Is the accounts used not only for forums? I think perhaps, its used for reviews but I don’t truly know..
I been on here for years but I only made this account to keep track of novel updates. It's pretty inconvenient to comment about them on here so when I do it's mostly on the novel hosts site.
I barely post on here, and I mostly use the account to either A. keep my space in a WN without having millions of tabs open B. Ask for people to translate novels(which so far, only one has been picked up) and C. Use dark mode when reading the forums(because dark mode is user exclusive)
Ohh, what does unknown page mean? I remember trying to welcome you lol but my competitors already did
I recently made account for ahem research purposes but before that I only made guest appearances lmao
For many purposes maybe. Personaly, I fear someday I will post in different acc and expose myself so dare not.
Most people lurk. Some just create a account on the NU and don’t realize they also have a account on the forum too.
Most people just make their account for the Reading List. The people that visit the forums are a minority.
The forum comes bundled in when you make a Nu account. Most people make use of the account to create reading lists and the other functions of Nu. They can go years without setting foot on the forums. There's also a bunch of people who like to lurk too
For reading lists, bookmark, easy to search. The forum really is only for the hard-core (bored) readers... I didn't know there was a nuf for over a year when I joined.
Not really answering your exact question but I just made my account now to ask about a novel and am browsing to hit the 5 messages needed before a post. Also I'm pretty sure people who browse on this website often decide to make an account just because they can. I know people who do that with other sites. It's weird.
I have bursts of online social activity when the depression born out of social reclusivity strikes. And as a preventative measure against dementia. Other than that, my account just gathers dust. The day I forget my password, it's over.
