    A noble sentiment but if this isn't life 1.0 for you why don't you retain any existing experience from past lives? If reincarnation does exist then you would expect a previous incarnation in addition to the next one. If no one remembers a previous incarnation then is there any difference than not having one?

    I used to obsess a lot about the whole life and what happens after death. Thought that if somehow consciousness could exist outside of the body then that would mean some sort of existence after death was possible. Read lots on ESP, astral projection, etc. as well as studied some comparative theology.

    As I get older I realized that it's far more likely that any of these experiences are from people suffering from delusions, hallucinations or just outright fraud -perhaps colored by survivorship bias. What I mean is that suppose 1000 people who bought lottery tickets claim they had a special feeling that they would the jackpot but only one person wins. The winner claimed that this was due to divine intervention, precognition or magic unicorn rainbow emissions. Everyone would hear about this, and be wowed. Nobody hears about the other 999 people who made similar outlandish claims about feeling special but did not win.

    We don't know. It doesn't have to be reincarnation in this "world" it could be in another dimension or another existence. Just live to experience the world and your universe around you.
