Why does ascension makes CN novels go from great to garbage?

    So many examples of great novels in CN novels like Pursuit of Truth where the story was great and thought provoking and emotionally engaging. Then the main character goes to a higher world or level it all just goes to crap. It starts looking like Re:Monster "Day 67 : I killed this and ate that" id sooner just a vague telling of what happened in the higher realm and a faster ending.

    Maybe because life gets monotonous for them. They can't fight seriously, go all out. They just start treating life as trash or something..... It's really disgusting... Which is why I read cn novels but drop them after a few chapters...

    Because it's a copy&paste of the ch before ascending and just change place and names...

    You hit the nail right on the head.

    I think it's just greed by all the parties involved.

    It would be so much better to start a side story with a slightly less popular supporting characters or just start a new novel
