Discussion Why Don't Female Enemies Die in Xianxia Novels?

All those are josei or yaoi though I believe?

They are, but OP didn’t specify that he or she wasn’t including Josei or BL novels in his/her comment. Unless I missed something.

 

I don't think they did, but I'm pretty sure the ones he's referencing are hetero ones since they are implying they survive due to possible involvement between the ML and the female villian ?

I believe you are looking at it the wrong way, it's charisma that abysmally low. The lady doesn't need a charm spell, as she uses her jade like assets. In this case it's a opposed charisma check with the female practitioner having a tome of leadership and influence +5, cloak of charisma +6, circlet of persuasion, and elegant garments with skill bonus performance seduction +5 and circumstance bonus of additional +4 vs males.

 

Considering around half of said checks are made, while the female is (almost) naked, I don't think they have that many items, that boosts charisma.

Though I do agree, that male characters in xianxia have low charisma, while females seem to ignore all other stats in favor of it, I tried to include the fact, that women in xianxia seem to be fine having other females in the MC's harem, which a failed wis-check would explain better than an opposed charisma check.

But I have to admit, that my experience with D&D is rather limited, since my group tends to play other systems.

 

No, if you read the original post, there are no references or any indications that Josei or BL are not included. And Josei is hetero by definition, you know?

 

CN novels actually the opposite of reality. If it were realistic, they would burn a woman with power and claim she was working for devils or something like that.
