Aren't those the most accurate words ever! As soon as something gets popular - boom, here comes the yaoi. And I'm over here to eat it right up, of course. :blobsweat_2: Well, same can be said about porn, and I see little distinction between the two, other than intended demographics. So really, maybe porn is the inevitable thing, lol.

Just read what you like and ignore ratings, geez... It's not that hard to judge a book by cover, title and synopsis...

I mean most of us have been an avid reader for years, and as the time goes, we too have your likes and dislikes distinguished
I would like to avoid novels that have poor author or poor translator because I would stop midway and feels like I have wasted my time rather than feeling like I have enjoyed reading it
That why I go to rating and likes the 4* and above rating because most are solid without big flaws
    Flaws like:
Dumb wish fulfillment Japanese novels that have no flavor, third rate writing and author already wasted their whole talent after writing the title of their books
Chaebol-complex, I am bullied because I come from a poor single parent family and my parent is sick because of working too hard Korean novels
I want to be the strongest for no reason, heavens are unpartial towards me, villains are always using the same reason for fighting me, people cannot touch or steal my treasure or my woman but I can do it, author uses powerlevel but can't describe the multiplication correctly Chinese cultivation novel
I will faceslap everyone because I used to be poor but black box technology blessed me and I will immidiately spend my money buying expensive cars and living a luxury life even though previously my bank acc only have 0.5¢ Chinese modern cheat novel

At least we already know what good and bad writing for reading at least a decade and would like to avoid bad novels for wasting our time

... I'm surprised you can't filter those out just by reading the title, cover and synopsis tbh. I mean, it's not that hard.

Reason why I have well over 1000 novels in my "Hidden List" (as in, my list of novels that whose sole purpose is not having them appear on the main page), while I only have a bit over 100 in my multiple reading lists categorized according to my tastes.
