    ok just have this imagination in your mind
    chick dresses like billy eilish, has a black neck choker, says stuff like "I only have boy friends cuz no drama" in order to sound cool, thinks wearing sweatpants and baggy white t shirts is mood and feels cool cuz the "other basic girls would dress up in booty shorts and crop tops" , thinks listening to retro music or nirvana means she is different, doesnt really "care about her weight" so eats a bunch of junk food, pees standing up, the list cud go on and on. But spying one of these creatures is a little harder than finding a karen or a r/niceguy.

    no? goth is well wearing all black and acting all edgy and shit. prob listen to evanescence still and some metal head band. straight straight outta hottopic and wear black lipstick , fishnets and u know the deal . goth done well is Wylona Hyashi. Her pics are photoshopped but if ur looking for eyecandy
    no emo is more like the kid who sits in the back of the class who wants to kill himself and everyone, and "hides his scars" with long edgy hoodies, has a fringe that sweeps across his left eye, goes to raves, wears those really long socks, also wears black, overall has a suicidal humor and socially depressed.

    It's a thing because people who care about it want it to be a thing. Most people are just doing life however they chose and some people get all up in arms about it. Humans are equal parts awesome and asshole and it's really what your focus is that helps reinforce your perception of things.
