Request Wikia/Glossary For Novels

I am considering setting this up for all novels on my website but using WordPress instead of mediawiki.
Any suggestions or ideas?

I suggest fandom wiki, it is way better and easier to find and search through it. Like this one: https://ni-tian-xie-shen-against-the-gods.wikia.com, this is damn big .-.
And everyone can help with it.
I think it is good enough, and wikias are pretty popular right now.

I rather host myself. Any idea how to get a similar skin if I host the wiki myself?

 

Mmm, i'm not quite sure. But if you want to host one by yourself, enable it to be editable for everyone, I don't think someone can normally handle info of novels with 1000+ chapters alone.

seeing a wiki for this novel by the community would be cool

 

I am thinking of using Wordpress with unlimited permissions to edit, since it is more customizable

 

I'm completely clueless on how to make a wiki with wordpress, I only administrated a wiki with mediawiki once, and even then, I only knew some pretty basic things.

 

That is my point. It will be called a wiki but it will just be regular Wordpress with a simple forum for asking and answering questions.
That way there is no learning curve.
It is just a subdomain to have chapter summaries, character introductions, skills names, locations etc
This should help with consistency as translators can just look up character names on the wiki instead of guessing what a character was called previously

 

Well that definitely would help, I'm making my own glossaries for most novels I'm translating to not have to keep looking back on previous chapters to see how something was translated...

 

It will just give every user the Editor role but remove the option to delete content
