Honestly the site is so toxic now it's almost as bad as 4chan in it's peak, all you see is slang being thrown around, people using hashtags and typically Youtubers being snakes to each other friends one moment the next backstabbing them once a bit of information they can use to enlarge their sub base is revealed, hopefully with the new update the site will be saved. That depends on what you mean by save, doesn't it? Seems like they're trying to make another hug box for overly sensitive people, which is unfortunate cause we really don't need more of those.
I didn't even know YouTube needed saving... Seems fine to me if you ignore the comments... Half of them are trolls anyway.
who da actual fuck reads comments on youtube??????????????????? you can use that time to actually see videos
on videos with small viewcounts I have seen and participated in some interesting discussions. However I think the real problem is the majority of commenters are underage immature brats.
I watch videos on youtube, never cared about the comments though. Some of them may be good, some bad, some advertisement, and some just plain troll. It is part of the internet so there will always be toxicity in it.
oi, youtube is great and so is 4chan! we dont need saving! Hmph! The nerve of some people....well, in any case, i honestly dont think it needs any saving. youtubers who make videos shouldnt give a damn about commenters since 90% are confirmed trolls. and the same should be said about those who simply read comments for whatever reason. I just ignore all that shit.
One word. No. If people want to be jerks, they will still be jerks, ToS or not. Do you think the people targeted at in these changes even read the ToS?
what irks me the most is the clickbait scam uses of thumbnail when its supposed to be from the actual video. a lot of the time is was just powepoint-presentation-like still photos
Can't you simply report the message if you actually give a fuck about what someone commented? I sometimes read the comments to see what people thought about the video and gather a general opinion of what to expect of it (depends on the topic of the video), but that's that. I rarely comment on youtube and by that I mean I have posted less than 10 comments there. If someone is harassing on the internet, you can always stop going to that page or if you love that site you can log out of your account and use it then. Avoid the butthurt or by a cream for it.
......double edged sword here, double fucking edged sword. Means you can't critic ANYONE or ANYTHING on youtube anymore. Edit: Not everyone is a good person, many people with blaring negative aspects/personalities.
This is my opinion. In no way or form am I right. v v v (Excessive and foul language (Curse words) are used). Spoiler That's a stupid rule to be honest with you. If you don't like it when people hate on you or post negative comments about you then ignore them instead of being a righteous indignation swine/playing as a victim like Keemstar who regularly throws out shit coming from his ass. And for the people who isn't directed at them you could choose to support the guy or not, it's none of your business anyways. And hell it's the fucking internet for fuck sakes you're going to see hate comments every time you go on a social media website (youtube, twitter, instagram, etc) I don't even understand why youtube even needs to add that rule now after it's been up for 11 years and the several atlernatives people can take to avoid hate/negative comments. As for the content creators, you signed up for that shit. But anyways just stay positive and negative/hateful comments could be used as a source of criticism and something you can learn off of when creating videos (For the most part when it's not just FUCK YOU, YOU SUCK and comments like that.)
I go to YouTube for the comments. On a shitty day you can read those comments and laugh at the sods who get butthurt cuz of some comment and feel better
