does they still use cable to fly? I always like to spot those cable when I'm young on the old TV series. it was funny when I thought they really fly but then my mother told me that they used cables

Hmm........ kind of... I mean if I make a story about Liu Bei traveling Fictional China to found a country with awesome battles and artifacts and inner chi and yelling your techniques, it would be classified as Historical Wuxia by NUF readers.

(but the shapeshifting and the God connection, make it more a xuanhuan genre)

meh. there's lots more of weird shit in those country. like the ghost on Borneo that only had its head and innards and can kill by gutting its victim(though I forgot if it is true one because I only heard it from a traveling person that knows the black magic on Borneo. P.S believe it or not, black magic still exist in those country, and it work only locally not internationally. heh funny)

Truthfully I'm an agnostic (you can googling it) but you must respect what other believe, what you don't believe doesn't mean it didn't exist

It works internationally but then different countries have different names for the ghost/spirit. Like in Philippines, they called Manananggal, or Krasue in Thailand or Cambodia.

"Merantau" is 100% Indonesian movie with Indonesian casts. The main actor starred in "The Raid" series also, and cameo in 2015 "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

"Rip off" is a very painful word, especially since Merantau (Wander) showcased the long-standing tradition for the young men from Minangkabau tribe, and Pencak Silat which was also an Indonesian traditional martial art.

From Asian i only watch Chinese kungfu (basically because Chinese Novel) or Muay Thai (fall in love after watch tony ja--->one of my reasons for touring around Asia)
Maybe because I've some trauma with silat that make me didn't pay any attention to it

If this comes out, I think this will be the first ever Indonesian movie I'd watch in a big screen cinema. Didn't even watch "The Raid".

Even if the actual movie turns out bad, I personally think it's worth it, just for the nostalgia.
