Discussion Wish you could comment on reviews

Just read one of the most blatant lies in one part of the review regarding this one novel and since people are quick to slap a like on it because it may seem like a coherent review for the unaware so it may scare off potential readers.
Though it'll probably be disastrous if replies are turned on kek

 

^ This. Some novels reviews seem just exaggerated or seemingly just from biased pov of those reviewers or mostly just from short amount of chapters reading. Then either trolled or people that actually believed it then just click like and push it onto the top, whether they actually read the novel or not. If there is something to make cautions or something to say about those reviews would be nice, from other people that also read the novel.
The Internet is always the Land of Wars(Meme Wars, Flame Wars, etc....). More wouldn't change anything.

People view things differently so when they write a review they write it how they see it. That's why I tend to not take reviews to heart cos of the added bullshit at times. I only use it to get extra info when the description is very lacking.

By the way what was the novel and lie?

 

Something similar happened to me with a novel that i quite liked. However i almost didn't read it because of a review. So i mailed the author of the review to talk about his review.....
Long story short neither could convince the other and his review is there yet.
Both of us were polite but it was a frustrating experience so it is better if you can't comment in a review.

On that note, I've seen a lot of '9 chapter review' like it's NU's '3 episode rule' trend.

Also. I really loved that Janitor aka Thrash Cleaner review on one of those Chinese novel.

I wish you could give reasons to add tags/genre, since some tags are added or deleted due to misunderstandings, it's better to make things clear...

nah, if you were able to comment on review it would just turn into another bickering or endless argument.
if you dislike the review then deal with it unless the review are inappropriate, like nothing but trash talk, complete troll and etc. You may flag them but I don't know whether Mods respond something like that.
anyway, it was the best if review only can be done ONCE per Tittle/Book (you can only edit your old review). because that will avoid unnecessary argument.
If someone did bad review at your favorite novel then promote your novel with good review, "why you should read this particular Novel!" or if you find review too positive but actually terrible novel then write "Reason you should stay the fuck away from this shite Novel!".

 

While I don't think it's necessary to comment. I would like an option to report for disinformation. There is a high risk with people lying in reviews, i.e. if I see a review mention ntr I'm gone, doesn't matter if someone further down clarifies that there never really was ntr, it's going to be months before I forget I was avoiding it, and even then I might just have the same reaction and drop again. Blatant lies in reviews can damage the rate at which a novel gains traction.

 

To be honest, there's a lot of 1star trigger happy among the those that give ratings and reviews which they just based on the few chapters they read. Some, if not most, even just based it on the first chapter. For real? The first chapter? Just what kind of mentality is that who will judge and give a bad rating on a story simply on the first chapter!?

You can always write a review by yourself.
If a review is really bad, report it.

Or rather. The reviews should have a serious moderations from the Mods. I mean, there are a lot of people that gives bad reviews just based on the first 10 chapters which I believe is something extremely ridiculous.

 

Just silence anyone that has another opinion than us, we need to round them all up and give them a symbol on their clothing so we know who they are!~

But yes, i'd like to be able to 'mute' certain reviewers and not see their opinion / rating appear again on the weighted stat i see. Just like you can do on the forum (except for the fact that you'll still see their created threads appear on mainpage, it'll just seem empty *cough* hint mods *cough*).

p.s. Anyway, these cancerous people spread to more than reviews, like 'Me and the Tigress' is a romcom but some anti-loli tagged it with mature and adult etc. and recommended 'copulating with beast girl lolis' or some hardcore lolicon beast-kin porn and that took months to get taken off since i didn't even know how to report that. Pretty sure these people don't even read these novels before they judge it.

Either way, all reviews before chapter 10 and certain points should just expire at some point of time.

 

I agree with you that a report function for lies in review should exist. However it would bring more work to the mods with is not a good thing since they are who make nu work.
So maybe make a rule that if you want to delete a FALSE review you must make a thread to discuss it and if you are found wrong you are suspended in both nu and nuf and the same happens to the reviewer if he is found wrong.

Lol, king of gods. I feel all reviews on that, that are based off ch200 and previous should be wiped. Personally I feel that novel has got better as it has progressed.

 

again this crap? each person has their taste, and their review depicts it. you can like it, or write your own review. dont complain here just because you disagree.
