Man, as someone who reads the novel, I am already put off from the Manhua by that cover page. The fact that he has a zombie-face, and Spoiler: Recentish chapters spoiler. nowadays a healed but still entirely average if a little ugly face is a huge influence on his character, those around him, the plot, literally everything. Turning him into the pretty boy that image shows drastically alters the novel and shows a disdain for the source material that puts the BTTH and CD manhua's to shame. Just, what the hell. Another one for the "Shitty retellings" pile.
The art actually isn't bad at all, I do like the job they did on the coloring and shading. However, Zuo Mo's face still seems a bit too expressive.

Are you referring to Spoiler When Zuo Mo gets a new face? Because if so, that cover art STILL wouldn't look like his face. "Truthfully, this face was slightly average, almost immature. Bald head, thick brows, and thick lips. His body was also thicker than before. He looked like a nice and obedient child." That is the quote from when he is checking out his new visage I might be misunderstanding what you mean though, so feel free to correct me.
Chinese zombie = pale and expressionless. IIRC his face was disfigured by whoever wanted to hide his identity and in the current chapters he has an entirely different face that's not his real face. We don't even know what he actually looks like so don't just assume his real face is ugly or even average.
Haha, still though, I wonder who drew the cover and who drew the manhua Lol Such a big difference. I don't know how it looks like in the manhua since I didn't buy the chapter yet haha....
