Martial god Asura is the worst in existence

NSHBA actually gets better past the first 100-200 chapters. It has funny moments all throughout at least. I would say it's above average in the landscape of trash xianxia.

 

All the higher rated jap crap, at least cn trashes do not have misleading high
ratings and bullshit reviews.

Mushoku tensai
All popular high rated jap novels except youjo senki and overlord.

 

Most Chinese Novels. They are good at first and then quickly become repetitive or full of tropes.

they're fine as an introduction to chinese novels i guess.
they're mostly novels that are very good at following tropes/templates but soul-less

hooks you until you stop and think, and then you go - wtf have i been reading

most people here say Mushoku tensai but it was original and very good when it came out. Arifureta is the best example of how great Mushoku tensai is. it's just sad that it was so good that it got so many people copying it and it too, became bland.

Arifureta isn't bad too. the main story is copy/paste, but it ends very fast and then the side stories, over 200 of side stories, are the best part. it's like mmorpg today. leveling is boring and then when u hit end game, it gets fun.

but yea i agree with the criticism that Arifureta main story sucks ass
