Picked Up Wortenia Senki (Record of Wortenia war)

Some web novels in syosetu do have a harem if you've read the whole novel even if there isn't any harem or romance tag.
Some novels that come to mind are Nidoume no Jinsei and Kuro no Maou.
I don't know about this one though.Are those 6 females in the cover part of the mc's harem?

 

I don't know about the 2nd or 3rd novel, since I haven't reached that part yet, but on the first cover, the ones at the right are twins that sweared to serve him after he saved them from bandits. The one at the left is the princess of the empire that summoned the MC to use him as some kind of slave, the mc kills the summoners and escapes from the empire, so pretty much she's an enemy.

 

Finally, I was able to finish the 1st arc and made a summary for you to see.

Spoiler: Summary

Mikoshiba Ryoma is a 16 year old high school student, but because of his face and tall muscular body, he looks older than he appears. One day, by some strange phenomenon, he suddenly appears in a mysterious room filled with robed men and armed men. Ryoma understands that the intentions of these people are no good, and decide to finish them of with the martial arts that he learned from his grandfather, to the surprise of the of the people in the room. Ryoma is able to kill most of them, leaving only the old man that acted like the leader, Ryoma begins to question and torture him to get information, he learns that he was summoned to another world, and the he is in the royal palace in the capital of the Orthomea Empire, one of the biggest countries in the continent. He wants to know the way back home, but the old man tells him that he doesn't know, Ryoma goes to the conclusion that the people invoked doesn't get to live long enough to go back to earth, so the summoners haven't developed any magic to return to earth.

Ryoma ask him why they summoned him, to which the old man says that to become a soldier for them, he explain him the people from another world have the potencial to become the strongest warriors. In this world, when a living being is killed, a part of it's power goes to the killer, and people from another world have a higher rate of power. Though Ryoma had killed 4 people, he didn't feel anything different, to which the old man respond that a person that kills 10000 people, would only get about 1 person portion of power, but if the person kills a dragon, he would get a portion equivalent to the power of 4 people. The old man keep talking so he could recover himself and to wait for the help to arrive, but Ryoma already knew what he was doing, and let him think that so he could get some info, after he was done gathering info he killed him.

After that Ryoma takes everyone's money, the armor of one of the guard, put in on himself and burn the guard body. When the help arrive, they see everyone dead except one guard (which is Ryoma in disguise) that appears to be injured, they took him to the infirmary. While they investigate what happened, they first assumed that they died fighting the person from another world, realizing too late that the one they took to the infirmary was the real culprit, Ryoma escapes from the infirmary killing all the ones there, burns the infirmary and escapes from the castle still dressed as a royal guard before his pursuers closed the castle gates.

The empire quickly prepares a pursuit team to catch the culprit (turns out that the old man Ryoma killed was an important member of the empire), which includes the 1st imperial princess Shaldina Aizenheit, the leader of the Succubus knights, Saito Hideaki, another summoned person who's a subordinate of Shaldina and also the deputy leader of the Succubus Knights, and also Seria Walkland the granddaughter of Gaies Walkland, the old man that Ryoma killed. While in the city, Ryoma quickly discard the armor and gets some new black clothes and a cape with a hood, after that he goes to a restaurant while he thinks about a way to get out of the empire. After talking with the restaurant lady, he came with a plan to escape, he decide to cross the frontier to the west as an adventurer on a quest, thinking that his pursuers would go to the south because it's the shortest way. He registers as an adventurer, gets a bank account and buy all the necessary stuff for the journey, weapons (he gets a sword and some chakrams), potions, antidotes, tent, food, etc.

On the way to the frontier, Ryoma finds a group of bandits assaulting a wagon, on the wagon there were two slave girls, at first the bandits wanted to take them to their boss thinking that they sell the virgin girls for a high price, but after finding about 5 millions bahts (in this world, a meal is about 25 bahts), an a lot of jewels and valuable items, the group decide to rape the girls and kill them later. Ryoma decide to rescue them, he waits for the perfect moment (when their pants are past their knees) and kills some them from the distance with his chakrams, and finish the rest with his sword. After saving them, the two twins Lola (the elder sister, she has silver hair) and Sara (the younger sister, she has blonde hair), thanks him for rescuing them and both make a blood oath with him, it's a ceremony that mades them swear their alliance to him. The reason for this it was because of the binding spell on their slave collars, they would have to wait for their master, the slave merchant to come back for them, but thanks the blood oath they don't have to follow the merchant's orders anymore. After doing doing the blood oath with the twins, the slave merchant arrives with some guards to retrieve his merchandise, only to be killed by Ryoma and the girls.

After arriving to some town and checking in a inn, Ryoma gets to know a little about the twins while they eat, they were daughters of the Malfist family, a noble an ancient house of great knights that served the former Queeft Kingdom. On a war 5 years ago, the kingdom fell and the girls escaped on a merchant ship along with some guards by his father instructions, but the guards betrayed the girls and selled them to the slave merchant. As they were educated with both reading, writing, fighting with weapons and also magic, the merchant educated the girls as war slaves, slaves specifically trained for combat (there are work slaves, sex slaves and war slaves on this world). The blood oath they used was teached to them by their father, they have waited for someone they could put their trust to use it. After a little more talk, the girls already found out that he is not from this world and he ends up telling his story, later he accepts to have them acompany him until he finds a way back home. After selling the items of the slave merchant (by now, Ryoma has a little more than 35 million bahts), making a bank account for the girls, and have them register in the adventurers guild, the group departs to the west frontier, and found out that the 1st princess Shaldina made a blockade on the frontier (She did it following her intuition), Ryoma comes with a plan to pass the blockade.

Ryoma's alone on a forest near the border, working as an adventurer killing monsters, while he's resting near a camp fire he's approached by Saito, who makes him some questions. After that, Saito introduces himself and tells him his mission by which point he ask him to accompany him to their base, when Ryoma ask him what happens if he says no, to which and arrow flies near him. He's then handcuffed and brought to their base, where he meets princess Shaldina, after a conversation they realizes that he's from another world because of his way of speaking towards the princess. After being found out he drops the act but he keeps his calm behavior, by this point Saito realizes that there's something strange about his behavior, realizing that he would only be able to stay clam only if he planned his capture. Saito prepares to kill him only to be stopped by a strong wind that attacks the camp, only to realize that while the princess and him were busy with Ryoma, Lola and sara were dealing with the other soldiers. After finishing the rest of the soldiers and rescuing Ryoma, the princess and Saito realize that they are numerically inferior and decide to leave them, but not before warning Ryoma that he can't escape them forever, as he's a wanted man in the Orthomea empire and the empire will certainly conquer the entire continent.

As Ryoma and the girls cross the frontier, Shaldina goes back to the emperor to report of her failure, but they are not severally punished as the emperor understand that there were some unaccounted circumstances, and then, he task them with the conquest of the east territories.

Is there any romance involving the mc?

 

I haven't seen clear signs of romance in what I have read so far, but I think that the closest to a romantic relationship with the mc would be the twins, they are willing to go to the earth with him.

The MC has a cruel personality but he generally hides it, to family and friends he shows a nice and friendly personality, but to an enemy that bares his fangs against him, he shows his cruel and merciless side.

There's definitely a shortage of muscle in the Japanese LN Protagonist world.

 

The mc should be just a high school student but he can torture peaple and even kill from the first time sigh i really can t understand the authors

I'm sorry but I can't help but be amused that the illustrator is called bob. The lowercasing seems to be very important to insist on here too.

The body on this character is so weird. He has the face of a man child, yet the body body of warrior. It does not suit him at all. It's so awkward looking. I kinda like the art style, but the awkwardness of the main character is so strange it's revolting in it's own way.

I'm confused since most students in most high schools are built like this the athletes are at least, Ive seen people who have the build of that dude off of berserk, come back to the real world guys this dude is not a special case as far as I'm concerned

 

@darkdhaos is it safe to say that Saito Hideaki, and perhaps other summoned, are traitors of their own kind? Human Supremacist stories and treating people that they kidnapped (force summoned) as tools/weapons/summoned creatures (really need to dehumanize on that part) are not rare, but it is weird for me to actually see another one, other than Hibiki in Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu, willing to find fault in another person from their own world just because they start to get hostile for their own well being.

I don't mean that those summoned, who are hostile right of the bat for malicious purpose, are right, like enslaving others and killing for no apparent reason even when the people are kind (because they need to use you, but at least they make the efforts to pretend). But for those who are planning to enslave and turn you into a fodder, yes the summoned have all the rights to go ballistics.

So basically... it sounds like they messed up, so instead of summoning a whimpy Japanese harem protagonist, they summoned a ruthless Chinese Xianxia protagonist.

And they're using Thai currency wtf?
