Would you play a second person shooter? It's the same as a first person shooter but in second person instead of first.
.....................................................................................?! How would it even work?
I don't even like first-person shooters so why would I play a second person shooter. What does that even mean? Is it a shooter game with a second-person point of view or something else entirely?
You view it from the perspective of a ghost who is following you? Or you get to view the enemy's perceptive while your goal is to kill the enemy without being spotted.
Your point of view is someone watching the person. So i would argue that all of the original Resident Evil 2 is in 2nd person and its one of my favorite games of all time. (It has not aged well tho). Also are all side scrolling shooters considered in 2nd person?
So basically scuffed 3rd person views. But how would that last idea even work? if you are in the fov of the enemy you're basically spotted, but if you aren't in view how would you know you are moving right? Seems a bit interesting tho.
Honestly I'm more interested in trying that 3rd person game shown at the beginning, how would I find out what it is?
I could see a visual novel going the play-your-own-adventure style, but not sure how you'd do that with a shooter.
