There is many novel that doesnt end properly.
But lets say the novel is pretty good..
you have not read this novel yet before.
Lets say you dont understand the source language and cant stand MTL.
but before you start reading it, you found out one of the bellow:
    1. It is dropped by the author in the raws (mad snailed)
    2. Have too many chapters with slow translation. 6000 chapters ongoing but get translated 2 chapters per week.
    3. The translator is in hiatus for more than a year already without anyone picking it up.
    4. Theres a very expensive pay wall if you want to read it. You cant find any pirated goods anywhere.
    5. The source is licensed at book 12 out of 30 book volumes and the publisher release its translated book at the pace of 1 book per year. (Yen pressed)
    6. The translator is shut down by the publisher but refused to become their slave.. and the series becomes translatorless but cant be picked up. (Qidianed)
    7. Axed ending by the author out of nowhere. Ended within 1 chapter at the middle of a huge arc.
    8. The author died

Will you start reading that new titles despite knowing it is one of the above?
    What do you think?

I wouldn't, it would just leave me feeling empty or sad because I will never be able to finish it or enjoy it. For example I liked Dungeon Hunter but it's ending was completely rushed and Kaze No Stigma, where the author died, so it will never be finished. It's very sad but I would recommend not to read it because they normally don't have a satisfying ending.

Well in my mind everything that's currently being translated basically doesn't have an ending anyway. I'd never be able to finish it if they dropped it so there's not much difference between that and reading something as it's being published.

    Well,

As in life, the journey is what makes it worthwhile. Even by now there are some novels in hiatus that i never regret reading. Such as running away from the hero. Hiatus x hiatus (albeit in my mind this manga ended when he met his father)
Even the biggest disappointment of them all bleach was worthwhile on the first arc.

Depends on how interesting the premise is and the general quality of the writing, a story don't really need to be finished to be a good read, it just need at least a finished story arc.
For example I don't regret buying the first two volumes of the Moribito series despite there still not being any hints of the remaining 10 volumes being translated after 8 years of waiting.

One of the greatest things about reading a new novel is getting to imagine the infinite possible outcomes and refine your expectations of those outcomes as the novel progresses. Sometimes, the saddest thing is the closure you get when a novel is actually finished. Those possible outcomes collapse, and sometimes you're left with something you weren't hoping for. Some of my favorite novels are those that are unfinished because it gives the reader license to determine the outcome.

1 book per year is ok. It's a decent publishing rate.

Number 1 and number 8 are special case's ..like take number 8 if your reading it and the guy drops dead in the middle of writing then you can't do sod all about it , but in number one's case you don't touch it with a 50 foot barge pole unless it been finished by him or you can find people to break his legs until he finishes it

If someone can suggest me where I can stop reading to get a pseudo-ending, I don't have a problem reading unfinished works. I consider Soul Society arc to be the ending of Bleach anyway and stopped reading beyond that. It had an actual ending there. Beyond that was just milking the franchise with no other aim or purpose.

I enjoy the journey , not just the destination.

My all times favorite tv show is Carnivale and it was cancelled,
And my favorite Chinese web novel is Ze Tian ji , that is said to have a bad end , not to mention that most chinese web novels have horrible endings, in general 2nd and 3rd parts are usually not as good as the firsts.
