So, I've read some Wuxia novels with the traditional cultivation and the usual macho martial arts combat and power ups. And lately I've seemed to divert towards some dance music while commuting between work and home; f.ex. Macklemore's Dance Off. So, naturally I combined the two in my sick mind. Thus, since I can't help but find the thought of a serious martial arts combat novel with arrogant young masters and whatnot, and then, near the end, instead of the usual clan slaughter, the whole argument would be solved with an epic dance off. Rhythm would, of course, be provided by the old graying masters of extreme cultivation, and the cultivation results would be used in full in order to "serve" (in dance sense) the other side with extreme prejudice... with face and the usual reputation in line. You know, "Go granny Fang, go!" and then we get some sick choreography that brutally rips off the face from the MC and the arrogant young masters... and there's nothing they can do about it. Well, if someone has been bored enough to read this inane idea this far, let's throw this question as a starter for a discussion: what would your ideal wuxia/xianxia dance off be like? Edit: Feel free to add names of artists and songs you'd want to play in the background.
Huh, it actually sounds feasible when combined with the Wuxia fight scenes. Say how would the dance moves be ranked and what would be considered lower level. (This actually got me an idea on how to do something I had on the back burner for a while. So thanks, the dao of washing will make a return thanks to you)
RE: Dance Dance Revolution? imagine MC getting a cheat system with the steps appearing on the floor and a point / rating system. i'm picturing it like breaking through and the crowd is like 'OMG HE GOT GOOD' 'PFFT OUR YOUNG MASTER IS GREAT RANK!' with giant popups in the sky in yellow / red letters 'WONDERFUL' , 'COMBO X2,3,4' 'He's reached the pinnacle of mortal dancing!' 'WHAT, HE'S TRANSCENDING'

Hmm, I think the beat at least has to match the moves, and since we're talking cultivation world, the techniques can be pretty wide and varied. F.ex. Lin Ming from Martial World having his tree illusion swaying to romantic beat while the dragon/phoenix images go outright nuts with some hard beat.

So the dao of dancing decides all. I was thinking of a more simpler approach using the power of teamwork and rhythm to destroy their enemies. But, the thought of gods breaking out in dance so fast it causes shock waves across the world also sounds pretty damn funny too.
Damn, I was thinking about mixing it up with that relatively old SNL skit on the mechanics or something doing that drag queen show off; I think it had Chris Pine or something, but I can't find a solid reference when I need it. :/
