I already knew he was cutting a deal to take his hands off the website he knew his site was dying so he cut a deal and ran. WW was great when it started, but the only reason it died like it did was greed. this site will continue to decline now that it is owned by a corporation.
The moment they started pay walling the site I took my hands off it. the only novel I was reading ended already.

 

How much did he sell it for?

 

Pretty much same. I only read overgeared there now. If I'm gonna read a novel from wuxiaworld I'd go to the pirate site then maybe waste some of that currency I get for logging in if I'm caught up. It doesn't help that most of the new novels they're picking up are either generic as fuck, garbage, or generic garbage.

 

Looks like Kakao is trying to create another Webnovel by merging WW, tapas, and Radish. Bleh.

I doubt it anywhere past 6 figures. probably enough to buy a house. any company with competent employees would know that the site is not worth much.

 

Wonder if he'll go back to being a diplomat or whatever he was before he started WW?

 

I'm not using WW for years already, what was his point of ditching diplomat job if he just sold it and ran away?

 

I bet the translators are just running around like chickens with head cut off at this point. at least the ones that started the site with him.

 

To make money? Maybe he'll buy a ranch and raise some yaks. He can be a cowboy. Who knows?

 

buying land is incredibly cheap. I hear growing apples is extremely profitable. can be used for all sorts of things these days. I went to the store they were charging $3 for 1 apple.

 

I mean he prob just viewed it as a startup. It's hard as hell to run a business and do a full time job like a diplomat. now he has a nice bag of cash and probs leaving the web novel scene with it becoming more regulated.

 

If he were smart he would make apple jack and apple brandy.

Maybe he'll be a salted fish. Or worse-- an "influencer".

 

If he is smart he would invest 20k-30k on land and another 30k buying a container turning it into a tiny home 2-3 solar panels and use the rest of the land to buy apple trees. 100-200k max cost and within 2-3 years he would recover 40% of his expenses and in 5 years pure profit.
