    So I was just casually starting to start reading Spirit Realm again when they said that guests can only read 50 chapters before registering. Okay, I can do that. I apparently even had an account with them. The issue came after that.

    I signed in, needing to reset my password, and then got graced with this.

    Is this new? Or have I just not been reading fast enough lately? Or am I just that unlucky?

    Regardless, I’m now needing to wait a bit to continue my binge....

    Don't skip the announcement next time. They are slowly preparing for changing their modell. Unless you are reading completed novels it will not affect you. Completed novels will be locked behind a paywall, with multiple free novels rotating. Which means we all can be glad ATG, SOTR, AST and MGA are not completed and thus not eligible for being a free novel, preventing them from trash locking the slot(s) for months.

    A site needs to keep itself afloat. Servers, licenses.... thats not cheap. And no, as far I know it ONLY affects completed novels.

    He's saying that the upcoming locks don't seem to have anything to do with his current situation. This thread isn't about chapters being locked behind a paywall, it's about a bizarre error affecting how much he can use the site in a single hour.

    The temp ban is an automatic security measure to prevent attackers brute forcing user details. It's triggered by multiple failed login attempts – not giving specifics for obvious reasons.
    I would've said it's better to ask us about this kind of thing rather than NUF, but I suppose you couldn't get to the contact page to be fair... But yeah, totally unrelated to the other stuff being brought up.

    I thought that was already an old problem? Other sites also have this problem. Also the reason I download web pages instead of reading them live now.

    Mm, that makes sense. However I was still able to access the main page. It was just when I correctly logged in that it happened.
