Hey Silly question because I havent watched anime in years. I used to watch anime so.much back in the day, and Idk, just stopped completely after starting highschool. Discovered wuxia/xianxia novels a year ago and my life was changed. Anyway I read a lot of stories but Im caught up in everything. I wanted to get back into anime, and was wondering if you guys know of any animes that are based of wuxia, xianxia novels. I dont want stuff like naruto, one piece, bleach. Something that is strictly xianxia, wuxia or based off of one of the novels in Novelupdates. Edit: something with cultivation like, Coiling D,ATG, Thanks guys
Ze Tan Ji - http://www.arantranslations.com/ze-tian-ji-anime/, also there is somewhere Desolate Era ;p EDIT: Also, there will be The King's Avatar anime but its different kind of chnase novles, no cultivation ;p - Spoiler
Hitori no Shita - The Outcast, currently airing, 8 episodes out. airs on saturday, i think based on The Outcast manhua. currently translated until chapter 14, iirc don't confuse it with the manhwa Greatest Outcast though edit: Spirit Blade Mountain has both novel and manhua ver. anime was 12 epsode
Bruh, Dragon Ball Z. I mean really, for the first little bit it was about Ki (qi) and genuine martial arts. Buuut lol, we see where that went. But seriously a genuine wuxia anime, cultivation and all? Trashy antagonists? Sorry but unlikely. You have a better chance watching Evangelion and developing cancer
Agreed. Watched episode one last month. Great story. Was truly funny. Better than what you'd expect. Makes you wish Disney's Pixar would make something similar.
Agree with "Senior Brother" - Thunderbolt Fantasy, definitely first episode hooked me in.. especially when Anime's of late have been pretty piss poor. Anyways here is info on Thunderbolt I grabbed from somewhere else: Thunderbolt Fantasy In an Eastern-styled fantasy setting, a brother and sister team of sacred guardians is beset by the Xuan Gui Zong, minions of Miè Tian Hai, who seeks the Tian Xing Jiàn sword that they possess. Hai's appearance leads to the defeat of the brother, but his sister, Dan Fei, jumps off a cliff to temporary safety. Later, a wandering swordsman comes across a ruined temple, where a statue of Buddha is protected by an umbrella against the rain. When he takes the umbrella for himself, a man resting under a tree nearby informs him that he must be compassionate to the next traveler he meets as a trade-off for taking the umbrella. That next traveler is Dan Fei, still being pursued by the Xuan Gui Zong minions. Both his promise and the enemy's sorcery leaves the wanderer unable to avoid getting involved. Thunderbolt Fantasy is an original production made with puppetry and stop-motion animation. Enjoy
It's......ok. It's kinda cliché and the storyline is stupid in the eyes of someone from today but I liked it
There was one more.. i remember.. about yung master or sth like this. He was choosen or sth like this and there was some kind of test or trial for new cultivators and he was the smarto one, some kind of passing bridge test, another one with cauldron.
