You know what old game I wish they try to make into a movie?

I was looking back at some of my old games and came across one of my old favorites. The game was “Killer Instinct”. I also remember how I wish they made it into a movie. Then I suddenly remember all the disappointing adaptation through the years. If only they took a page from Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. Stop reinventing the wheel. You choose this game. Now stay the course.
Personally if I were to film Killer Instinct. I would audition actors that look as close as possible to the game. I would also have it reminiscent of the movie Blood Sport.
At least that’s what I would do.

Anyway my question is what game you wish they made into a movie?

It would be interesting to see how they would do a Zelda movie nowadays. Also...I need a Rewrite movie of the Shizuru arc!

 

There is a serious irony in mentioning Blood Sport here.

Blood Sport was actually going to be adapted into a fighting game but due to licensing issues, the copyright for the game wasn't available.
That being said the studio just doubled down and used the existing assets and kept working on a game that is now known as Mortal Kombat. And then it got a pretty shit movie, but the soundtrack is iconic

 

I had the OST on CD and listened to it nonstop at the time. Trance'ish music that gives you a good energy to work out to.

p.s. does that make Johnny Cage Jean Claude Van Damme? lol.

you know, I would like to see harvest moon being adapted to a movie where the movies messages is "plant your own food you fool, its cheaper that way". but since we talk about some blood sporting, how about metal slug? would be interesting if the input some history of the Nazi and the alien.

It's probably impossible, but now I'm wondering how someone might actually pull it off. A movie with almost no visible story/plot, but you can possibly piece together what's going on and why based on small, seemingly-trivial background details?
