Don't want the classes for the supposed power or because I intend to save or destroy the world. I want the classes because they are the most open-ended in regards to skills and abilities available.

    Main class: Awesome
    Secondary class: Less Awesome

But to answer the question, if this is a fantasy, then certainly Ai-chan would choose a witch or a mage as main class. As for the secondary class, probably a specialist class like a storm mage that allows Ai-chan to fly in the sky. Well, I guess a witch can enchant a broomstick to fly, so maybe main class is mage and secondary class is flying witch. The keyword is flying. It is of utmost importance!

Swordsman? Pfft! Ai-chan already learns kendo, though Ai-chan spends more time on naginata than shinai, but hey, swords are swords.

There are games like Stardew Valley where you can focus on making money and exploration, you know!

If I had the choice I would prefer to transmigrate into a more peaceful simulation/crafting game and I would pick crafter/merchant class, with emphasis on charisma stat. I really don't see myself as the monster killing type but if I had to then I would pick healer/mage class + some CHA. (y)

Yes, it share similar moves, but you have to take into account that the staff now has a pointy end and you have to be mindful of where the pointy end is pointed at. Also, unlike staff, thrusts/stabs are spear's main move whereas with staffs, striking is its main move.

Don't worry, you won't be the first one. In Europe, there is a type of horsemen called 'lancer' where they point their pointy stuff forward and charge towards enemy. Spear horsemen were also among the first type of mounted fighters in history.

In Japan, samurai don't actually fight with a katana. Well, they did, but that's not what they preferred to do. They'd use o-naginata because of its much longer reach while still retaining a blade. If they didn't have naginata, then they would pick spears as their main weapon. Katanas were something like a status symbol, their version of 'the right to bear rams'.

The sub would be a summoner just because I love'em so much and I'm lazy AF.

    Probably a bard.

... No, not to try to seduce everything that moves. And some things that don't. Who here has heard of the word diplomancer?

Diplomancy: because if you can talk to it, you can make friends with it. Even if it's trying to kill you.

It's kinda funny that D&D bards were anime harem protagonists before anime harems protagonists were a thing... no wait...
Complete Bard's Handbook came out in 1992. It has a kit called Gallant. Skip to "Code of the Gallant", Romantic Appeal, and Poetic Charm to see what I mean. If you replace the combat abilities (jousting and some wizard magic), it's every harem protagonist ever.
Tenchi Muyo (the genre-defining harem anime) came out in 1992.

Huh. I'll call it a draw.
